Will tents last through 0.49?

Hello Surviours,

 

Ive finally kitted out my m4 after about 40 heli crash sites and was simply wondering with the char wipe thats comming in 0.49 can i use a tent to store my main weapon.

Secondly if so, what kind of server is best to pick, Persitance/not because i dont seem to understand the differance

if then tents dont work i guess im going out in a blaze of glory :P

Yeah it is hard when you get attached to your gear. I learned not to get attached but it took me a long time and happened only when I had teammates who I know would help me get my gear back faster.

I hope not because the charecter wipe is to clean out the hacked m4s and other sh*ts so it will be stupid if you can safe your hacked m4 in a tent.

I'm 99% sure that the answer to your (OP) first question is "no", hence making the second question obsolete.

I would suggest to asap have as much fun with your M4 as you can get. My estimation would be that you have little less than a week left

before the complete stable wipe.  (I might be wrong on this one, afaik there is no official ETA for the wipe)

I understand and support the reasoning for the wipe so i'll enjoy the gear while i have it (been alive months on regular)

Yep I never get attached to gear seeing on the EXP branch wipes are almost weekly :(

Everything gets whiped, this is to clear any duping possibility's and track new dupes / hacks down.

 

Remember rule number 2 :): never get attached to your gear, especially during an alpha / beta which are prone to resets.

I highly doubt that tents or other storage would persist after a character wipe. Because that would defeat the purpose of said wipe.

Because high cap vest take 6 slots and hold 12 items. it's like a protector case except you get alot more space

That's an exploit even I am using and I say "even", because I only spam collect apples/berries/drink water and use this. Well I usually only do it with spare pants and a shirt or something so I have spare clothes without loosing inv space, but still, bad me :(.

 

Inventory management will get more interesting as soon as that is fixed.

yeah I have one that got ruined a while back that I still carry full of those chem lights I wanna toss all around the clocktower in novo - and if I need a quick 6 slots everything in the ruined vest is disposable so I can just chuck it and its contents. use it while I can? yes. miss it when its gone? not so much.

Are we really to the point of posting screenshots of our gear? Come on, that's like posting selfies on Facebook or something. We don't need it, not when gear is this easy to obtain. Now, if you could 'scalp' each player you killed, and carry those scalps on a belt or something, then that might be worth sharing. Other than that, why bother...
