Amputations and posibility to survive headshot

So i was thinking what about if you could amputate your arm in order to avoid infection or maybe if was too many times injured or something like that. After amputation you would be able to use only one handed guns like pistols and some of the actions would be slower or even impossible. Also i was thinking if you were shot in the head exactly in the eye with small caliber round you would be able to survive but in cost of your eye and then your vision would be limited like about 25% would be dark on the side corresponding to the eye you had lost. Sorry for my bad english but it isnt my native language.

Do we really want this? It'd require a bunch of new animations and tons of new code, for what? I'm not really comfortable with that kind of grotesque realism. No thanks. It's DayZ, not Dead Space.

And we'd end up with the amputee-porn crowd that will take you captive and turn you into their .. you know ... Object of desire. Right before they take a dump on you and inject you with air bubbles.

I'm against it because of a gameplay reason. It is a great feeling to get shot down and pull through. It would change into depression about your char getting once again closer to loosing a limb and having a real disadvantage. Ppl should try to survive long. This would probably result in stashing your gear away, commiting suicide and getting your gear again with a fresh char, when the time comes.
