Recent loot trends

Just some trends I've noticed over the past few days:

 

1. Shotguns and shotgun ammo are very common (but have been buffed so worth picking them up).

 

2. Pistols, pistol mags, and 45 rounds are scarce, other than the 1911.

 

3. In general, less loot at police stations.

 

4. Can openers seem much more scarce.

 

5. Mosins and LRSs also. And I've seen very little 7.62x51mm in the past week.

 

6. Ammo boxes, storage containers and first aid kits are pretty few and far between.

 

7. Compasses seem pretty common now.

TBH Mosins and LRS seem more common to me - though not in military bases, I've found 3 LRS in police stations (and at least 5 mosins, and 7-10 sks) and I want to say 2 in random houses over a fairly short period of time compared to before I'd rarely find any of it. The carbines seem fairly common to, in police stations, and 1911 pistols and their mags seem to always be in the fire stations. 

 

Just my observations anyway, obviously could just be the RNG gods favoring me finding such.

CZ527 Rifles and magazines are no longer rare, I've found the rifles  in Piano Houses, the city hall tower in Novo (top floors), a police station, the ship wreck, Large orange brick buildings, and the Traffic control tower of the NEAF. The magazines are to found in abundance at the NWAF tent city (I found three in one tent and two in another on the same run).

I'm still a relatively new player, and I'm still not sure hot loot works. Who determines what spawns? The program or the people running the server? Before the last update couldn't find a compass to save my life, now I'm tripping over them everywhere. I'm finding FNX and 1911 pretty often, lots of FNX mags, but none for the 1911. But I haven't found .45 ammo in a very long time. I'm finding tons of 9mm, but I haven't found a single weapon that uses 9mm. Food seemed scarce for a day or two, but it's plentiful again, especially fresh fruit. And for the first time yesterday I found an AKM, POS1 scope, and twp drum mags all in the same building... The first time I've seen this gun.

 

So when a server advertises "high loot" can they really change how often higher loot spawns?

Pistol magazine in EXP are very rare, at least for me.

I find very few shotguns and .45 ammo.

Can openers? Found one within 15 minutes of playing a freshspawn.

Police stations have now been dubbed soda fountains because that's all they seem to spawn nowadays.

Well now that I found an MP5 clip, I can pretty much guarantee I will not be finding an MP5 in this lifetime.

Yeah King, I call them soda stations too now as well.

I hate the new trends, it's ruining realism and immersion if you ask me.

Just came across my first 1911 in 52 hours of game time. Never have seen a mag for it, just wondering how rare these things are. When I first started all I saw was the mosin which I like now all I can find are the SKS. Not really into any AK or M4, just doesnt fit my play style. The NWAF was bare when I ended up arriving, but that figures. Im just lucky I wasnt KOS.

It seems all fruit is fresh now, I don't think I have seen a single rotten ____ since the update.  I'm kinda bummed, because my pristine banana is no longer very rare.

 

Seem to be finding weapons fairly easily, but haven't seen a single box of 7.62x39.  Only a 15 loose stack right before I got killed at NEAF and several drum mags seem to be the sole providers.

Having trouble finding a pristine/worn hunter pack in stable .48. Smersh packs are common enough in barracks, but no vests available yet. Drum mags very common now in tents and barracks. Pistol mags are definitely more rare now, and I've only seen one FNX at a heli crash site. (seen the odd 1911 and CR75, a few Makarovs) Can openers seem more rare, and compasses a lot more common. 5.56 ammo is now available, most reliable place I find boxes/loose 5.56 is the ruined jeeps. Other than that 101 mags, though AKM mags outnumber 101 mags 10  to 1. NO shortage of AKM/SKS ammo in the game. I am finding decent amounts of .45 ammo since .48 stable, but in exp it was rare as hen's teeth. Pristine LRS and PU scopes have been troublesome to find, but PSO-1's are common as hell in tents. Tripping over AKM/AK101's, and their fittings which is a real worry IMO. Going to be running into a lot of drum-toting bongots on the servers over the next couple weeks. Prefering a Mosin with a pistol backup myself, this is not a good thing, especially if I cannot secure at least 2-3 mags. I hate the idea of trying to juggle primaries, but I may need to switch to a 101 when I'm running solo. :(
