I logged in to my hardcore character who was inside a building, after 4-5 steps I instantly die. I was full hp. No gunshot sound was heard and it was impossible to get shot from the position I was. It is also very unlikely that a headshot killed me since i had pristine ballistic helmet and that I got shot >1 min after logging in. In the chat there were 2 messages: "my leg hurts" "i think my arm is broken". And yeah, I died with my full equip lrs mosin+full gorka camo+akm pso 4 75 rnd drums+improvised backpack ETC ETC (UH DON'T GET ATTATCHED TO YOUR GEAR blahblahblah).

 

So yeah, has this happened to anyone else? is this a bug or a hack?

Next time tap escape and it'll show you where you body ended up. Were you not on the 1st floor? If you fell through the floor that would explain the leg messages.

Bug I'm pretty sure. Mostly has to do with above-the-ground positions (like, first floor and above). Broke my leg four times sitting absolutely still in the second floor of a building in Svetlojarsk.

Edit: oh and I never log out in buildings. DayZ always saw fit to kill you in creative manners when you did stuff like that.

It's actually easy to die by 1 shot to the head with a pristine helmet. Not only that there's issues with the sound of gun shots right now, I've been right next to people who are shooting yet don't hear the shots

I have been playing for hours and hours and hours since the patch and found two. I have only found 30rders on the corpses I have come across. If he found four... Go play the lottery, your luck is amazing. :)

Tbh I was impressed too.

 had a double barreled shotgun, went to the mil compount south of NWAF, found 2 drum mags there. Only needed the AKM. Found a mosin. Killed a player on the NWAF with it, and he had an AKM with yet another drum mag. I had 3. much later I killed another guy and he was pretty much in the same situation as I was before. He only needed the AKM to use that beautiful 75rnd drum.

Even after those mags I still had plenty of room on my impr backpack. I guess I took them because of diogenes syndrome? Anyways, extra ammo for killing zombies always comes handy since melee is kinda bad and zombies lag-hit you.

Well that's Dayz luck for you, four 75 round mags and no AKM. LOL! Kinda like when I found an MP5 at the police station as a fresh spawn in Krasno. I thought I was lucky until it was gone at my next log in because of inventory reshuffle.

To date I have only found one MP5 and two drums. When I found my first drum I wanted to go hide deep in the woods and rub it and call it my precious.

Die on spawn has happened to me before, out in the middle of a military camp.  No elevation whatsoever.  Spawn in a patch of grass, leg in pain - dead.  Really sucked.  But this happened immediately after the server restarted, and I rejoined a second later.  So it could be a bug that somehow killed me because maybe the server was still spawning items or something?

This is a bug, and happened to 2 people that were in a server event last night. One was in a bush and laid down with nobody around upon login the other just started running upon login, they both died instantly without cause. This was directly after a server restart so for someone to login get a bead on them and kill them is pretty unlikely.

 

They got messages stating that their legs are in pain, their legs are broke then dead.

I have had this happen on a few occasions. One time it was a hacker as when I respawned I was almost immediately shot as well. Another time it was because I logged out inside of a barn, I think. Not sure. Now I only logout in the woods.
