Never had any character reset in 300hrs +, since December 18th 2013. Rejoin the server where you geared up and your character will still be there. The only official "wipe" we get is with experimental branch from time to time depending on the version. Have fun!

you get your geared character back next time you join a server that has a good connection.

And gearing up only to play tdm in berezino or any place you guys play shoot em up would result in the same outcome. Are you 100% sure you weren't killed the last time you logged out? Yes character resets are on the rise but sometimes zombies like to nomnomnom people or you got shot

And now imagine that I only ever had one wipe (aside the ones initiated by us of course) in 3000+ hours of gameplay :) And that one instance is known and will be fixed soon.

I've got a theory that char reset most likely happens when you join server that was just so restarted or is going down..the moment you join.

Well if the only way to ensure you won't get reset is to join the same server every time, why do we have a public hive?  

 

I've just got reset as well from joining a different server.  I'm always a new spawn in the same spawn location I freshly spawned in from before.  Both servers had the public tag on the browser so I'm not really sure what is causing.  I've read that the devs were aware of an issue with not saving to the hive but does anyone who has tried different servers without resetting know what the secret is?

i got reset on saturday. i think it happens when the server you join has no connection to public hive aT the moment of connecting or the public hive is down at the moment you join a server.
