Cooking steak + food poisoning help

Recommended Posts

So I FINALLY got to make a camp fire and cook some deer steaks.

Food poisoning.

How do you know when they're cooked? It was bright red round them and I still got food poisoned, I even left one steak in for like 5 minutes and it never got burnt is it just fish that gets burnt right now?

I hope they change it in future raw meat does not poison you and certainly not outright.

Also my screen is black and white after only being poisoned half an hour or so, the "sick" icon is also the olive green colour but I can barely see, how long do I have? Is food poisoning different/faster from meat because I had it before and it was a few hours before it got this bad and the icon was red by then...

Kind of hard to find charcoal tabs in black and white...

They look like a slight brown color with some red in it. I will try to take a picture of it later when I get a machete.

Uh, dude. They change to a completely different item. They say 'cooked' and they get a new icon that actually looks like a cooked steak.

One would think it would be obvious, but don't try to eat something which still says 'raw steak' in the item name.

A easy way to get rid of food poisoning is to quickly run to a well or pond and drink so much water until you vomit..

I guess people got confused because it takes like 8 minutes or so, for stake to get cooked on fireplace.

Many folks woun't wait that long :).

Thought you meant in real life, I was about to suggest more toilet roll, buckets and maybe a doctor.

I remember that it takes something like 15mins to cook so be very patient. Very cool that it takes so long.

Depends. For boar I waited like 5 minutes, deer 10 minutes and cow 20 and still didn't cook, I just left the meat there.

On a low pop server(3-5) it takes about 3mins to cook meat. On a full server, it can take 5-10 mins or even longer, in my experience. I could be wrong, but cooking times seem to be affected by the number of people in the server.

Ah, considering you have to wait and you can burn it I thought you had to guess from how red it was.

But I left one steak in while I ran away to a town to look for charcoal tabs and it still wasn't cooked when I came back...

And as one dude said might affect it only like 5 people were in the server.

Also Food poisoning comes in degrees...

I thought it slowly got worse and worse over time? It's still showing that it's not severe but my screen is so dark even during the day I put a flare on and it almost blinded me. This is what's confusing me had it a few times and it never got so bad so quickly.

Really hope they let us eat raw meat it should just fill you up quicker but give less energy because that's what happens in real life it takes longer to digest and isn't as good for you. I had some raw steaks just the other day, totally fine.

And I'm not some crazy super human that can run non stop for like 40 miles get hit by zombies tons of times then have a gunfight and win.

Although I haven't tried that yet.
