Do People still watch balota?

The only reason I'm asking this is because after I was finished looting balota, I had an AKM with a 75 drum mag. Then I started making my way towards NWAF and I was in the forest behind balota. Well I tabbed out to check DayZ map, and that was a big mistake.

 

When I tabbed back into dayz, when I tab out or ini, it auto clicks in dayz. So my AKM started firing off like crazy auto without me pressing click so I had to switch mags for it to stop. Wasted about 19 bullets. Well after that I started to run off to NWAF on the road path from cherno. I was going to get food so I decided to look around, and I noticed some dude with an M4 following me. I dove into the trees and I took him out because I don't like people stalking me.

Hardly anybody goes to Balota, it's like a Silent Hill. :P

yea most people (that im aware of) seem to be on the east coast. But im sure theres still a person here and there in balota, cherno, and elektro

I always go to Balota and its airfield. 

 

But then again, I don't play DayZ for deathmatch. I have other games for that.

yesterday i got hold up by two guys in balota. they were actually pretty nice.

we had a conversation, and then we walked away :D

Heres a little video from a few days ago of a friend & me at the Airstip there, we stalked some guys for a while then killed them.

As we just finished looting their bodies we both got killed! It was fun :)

I think a lot of people go to Balota. But they go to loot and get out of there again, not to pvp. Basically players go there to get the stuff they need to ambush other players somewhere else.

 

I do suspect it would still be a relatively rich source of unsuspecting victims, if you choose to prey there, although I am still always paranoid as crap when I go there.

Yeah, everytime i visit Balota it is looted. Yesterday i was in the little village Komarovo west of Balota and even there all doors open. The server had a restart and i took the chance to go into the police station (still Komarovo). There were only like 5 people on the server at this time, but as i left the police......guess what.......bambambam. Luckily that guy was a sucker :-)

People still go there, mostly now to try to get themselves an AKM and a 75 Round Drum Magazine, I've seen a few people since currently I am combing Balota for finishing additions to my AKM, but mostly people are drawn to either NEAF or NWAF, which doesn't bother me none since it gives me a better opportunity to grab and go, but I would assume on a reasonably populated server you could find people still on top of Chapa towers / Sniper hill in Balota taking people out, however most people only frequent the Tent city there.

Looting wise. Balota tents and airfield are asome places to loot. I visit there every life to gear up. I also like the furthest southwest military base thats in the woods. NEAF really only has a limited amount of stuff compared to other mil bases or the other 2 airfields, unless .45 has new stuff I don't know about yet. I make pass through there almost every time I respawn as a fresh spawn. But NWAF is a great place to loot, you can get everything you need in one pass.

 

All the cool kids now days like to pvp on the east coast now days. Its funny how the heavy pvp areas switch over time.

 

But you know what I completely content with that, because its nice to gear up in peace on my terms, then go pvp in the NE on my terms. It all works out :)
