Server Hoppers deserve to die.

Recommended Posts

Yesterday we were 4 guys, camping on Factory between Nizohie and Solnichky and looking for taking some prisoners for torture, or take some of their equipment and let them go.

But what happened yesterday is one of the hundreds of firefight we've got to deal everyday:

We've detected 2 guys military equipped coming to us, and as they had weapons on their hands and they fired first, we had to return the fire.

1 guy tryed to get upstair, because at the moment he realized there was just one guy.....me on the roof!

Wrong.

He died like a dumb on the stairs.

The second one remains outside and look the roof, but once he realized there were more than 2 guy what he did?

He moved around the builinding, he walked close to the walls and then.....after few minutes, once we've camped around 5 minutes on positions we were looking each others, the bastard log in on the roof, and up from the ladders he shoot to one of my teammate, then 5 minutes later he killed a second one.

What we did then?

As nobody could climb the ladders or get closer to it, we've sent my friend fresh spawn on the woods, to see if he could see him where he was moving, from outside to inside, probably because was scared aswell to receive the same punishment.... a DRAW situation.

When my friend seen that he was logging out, i've came upstair and shot him to death with my 357 magnum right on his legs

He was another 12 years old kid, because we've heard him talk....the same that most of this community is made, as many still want to do NOT HAVE a noise while log in, people that don't know the word "balance"

Do you know what he had on his inventory? A yellow box over another yellow another box inside another box and again and again 9 yellow boxes, 3 AK magazines 1 drum magazines....hundreds of bullets inside Round boxes...etc etc

A server hopper player that made hundreds of stuff and loots only by changing server every 5 minutes and without thinking twice, to swap server during a firefight.

Schwarzenegger in the movie COMMANDO was a pussy instead.

You don't want a log in sounds ? Here's the results and the guys that ruins a game.

This was a nonsensical post about a bandit upset about ghosting with a title about server hopping.

I need a drink.

and it's legitimate? It's legitimate fight like a losers by server hopping and allow players to all that loot all that stuff because no one can detect them? they simply logout and login in the same building hundreds of time without being spotted?

Try caustic soda, it's a good drink for losers.

Serverhoppers ruin group battles, they also jump low pop servers to farm loot from barracks. There was even a thread on the old forums defending this bullshit. All of them should be banned then shot.

Next time calculate that you can get ambushed by ghoster, there is no need to be upset.

sooo OP admits to being a camper laying in wait for easy prey then cries about a bandit that attempts to combat log (OP seems to have been successful in stopping that) and now insists that the log-in sounds that were already removed be returned to the game.

ummm NO.

combat logging and server hopping has been marginally addressed with the log-in/log-out timers so its apparent that the devs are concerned about this and are working on a viable solution.

in the mean time stop suggesting that the things we hated to begin with are added back just to suit you.

if you want a legitimate fight stop camping high traffic areas that will frequently spawn players that are just looking for some starter gear.

Thing is though, serverhopping's a real problem!

With anti-combat log not a problem at all.

Oooh that explains why there was a guy camping the TEC building in Factory yesterday. The only thing I could not understand is - why was he camping on 8-10 pop server??

Oh well I hope my damaged can opener and road flare helped him somehow ...

Yes yes yes, ghosters need to die.

But.....

Camping bandit trolls also need to die.

I am so conflicted, who do I root for?

While camping might be considered as wimpy tactics for losers, ghosting is borderline cheating and 100% douchebaggery.

Remember lads, as long as you are within boundaries of the game, you are free to do whatever you want.

Once you start abusing glitches and game mechanics to your advantage, then you become one gigantic douchebag.

So please don't advocate ghosting by saying that camping sucks.

Those are two different problems.

tl;dr Ghosters are plague.

The problem is also that once you completely quit the game, then you rejoin, you do have to reload the map chace and so you can see people while login where they are camping. So it's not only about noise, it's also about glitch abuse. You can recognize how many people are camping and if this game is trying to simulate the reality, because it is a surivival game.....IT IS NOT! Because during a firefight you real life you don't quit the battlefield and spawn someone behind. Has no sense.

2 months ago on berezino buildings we were camping on 5 and a guy spawned on a dining room on 3rd floor. What shall i do then? team up with 10 guys and each one camp on 1 room?

It's so stupid!

Agree you have my beans. Ghosts for losers. When they are on trouble they fuck you up, and it's not being smart. it's being glitchers and worse scum than cheaters.

Because the way this guy was so looted it's just because he joins the same server in the same buildings on maibe night servers, and nobody can hear him

yellow_boxes.jpg

These are 6 boxes.... other 3 are on my inventory...SO IT MEANS 9!! Do you think this player is a regular one? I don't mean a cheater...just a nerd server hopper.

A box, inside another box, inside another one and again and again and again.

And this 12 years old kid from upstair says: "Comon it's a game come outside!"

And he deserve what he got. Death like idiot stupid nerd.

Not sure why you feel the need to besmirch the Arnold.

What I've read is that Dean is envisioning a "barricade" to help prevent ghosting. What that means is that when you have a group defending a position nobody will be able to log in within a certain radius of you, instead they would be moved outside the set radius. Not sure how big that radius would be.

But returning the login sound seems like an easier way to correct the issue for now. Not sure why they ever removed it.

Yep, this is a sad story and I consider this a fault by design. You should never be able to return to the same server in less than 24 hours. You choose to change server, then be it, but don't come back to this one. Even so, this can be used to get geared from several servers and it's not ok.

There is apparently a confusion of terms.

Server hopping = loot farmers jumping server to server.

Ghosting = using secondary servers to gain an advantageous tactical position on a primary server.

The OP was a garbled mass of incorrect terms and broken English. It was a struggle to understand.

Sure made you mad though... ;)

Also boo to login sounds, they are not realistic at all. :emptycan: This can easily be solved by you being more aware of your surroundings.

No, they're not realistic. But neither is suddenly appearing out of thin air to take a tactical advantage. The login sounds WOULD be what we call "game balancing".

Considering that a player is completely defenseless on login, and all it takes to see someone logging in behind you is holding alt and mousing around, it is already balanced. Be more aware of your surroundings or die to a wayward player logging in, seems like a good tradeoff for being helpless on log in.

Barrier sounds stupid.

I find a building that is safe, I log out, I come back the next day to play more. Two players have 'barricaded' near my logon point. So I get kicked to some random spot that may be totally unsafe and exposed?

Why don't they just make it that if you leave a server and join another server and then try to join the original server you get to wait 30 minutes?

Agreed - what a ridiculous concept when all they have to do is stop players rejoining the server they left.
