Only sounds apart from wind and birds chirping should be player made! EDIT: To make it clearer, I don't mean the actual sounds of reloading, but the sound file being RANDOMLY played regardless of situation. Sorry but 1-2 years is a hell of a long time in gaming, especially in this day and age where new hardware and games are being pumped out constantly. No, it wasn't a troll post, to 'YOU' maybe it can be perceived as such but I don't expect anyone who is connected in some way to the game such as yourself to do anything but defend it and belittle anyone who speaks against it and that's OK if you feel you must. One thing though, perhaps, you should follow your own forum rules and not incite a potential flame war. Also OT.. These are exactly the niggling things within the game that seriously put people off playing it, as such, one would think this issue would have been addressed by now. In a game based on tension, suspense, horror, split second decisions, perception, and situation awareness, SOUND sets as much of the stage as GRAPHICS. Imagine playing any AAA title without the sound and imagine how different that game would be. Imagine competitive counter-strike/league of legends/starcraft matches where the players had ALL sound muted... It would be unthinkable. How would you feel about DayZ if you got constant visual artifacts? Random audio artifacts are no different, and it severely impacts the playability of the game. Sound/hearing is incredibly important and it is one of the major nagging issues that I hope gets sorted out.. Above vehicles, above persistent storage, above another town, more weapons, or more crafting recipes.. There are ambient sounds I.e. That makes me wonder if perhaps everyone is linked, maybe when your leg randomly breaks it's because someone else playing on the server had a leg break? Or a situation where they should have broke their leg, but the leg breaking happened to someone else.I know I've fallen off a couple of buildings and been fine anyway... Anyway yeah I find this really annoying, especially when you're hiding in a bush surveying an airfield or something before running in and you hear a can opening like someone is standing right next to you in the bush and freak out.Or random zombies they're probably the worst, in an open field where there's clearly no zombies suddenly you hear one >.< or when you're chowing down on some sweet tactical bacon you've been saving and think one is about to run through the wall and murder you... 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
