hexrain 11 Posted June 19, 2014 I feel like im pretty forgiving of the whole alpha thing, at least up to this point. However, I have been getting like 5x the lag and dysync after the patch. I just lagged or dysynced with a zombie approaching, tried to axe it like 4 times, and i'm suddenly dead. lost my full gear. on respawn i get a fire axe. 2 more zombies around me... try to axe it. axe wont swing. tried fists and cant punch. im getting kinda frustrated. i kinda want .44 back. Khanarac 252 Posted June 19, 2014 (edited) This is the worst stable patch in 3 Months imo. 1. I ran into a building, rubberbanded back out, teleportet back in, suddenly in there there was an AKM guy, already shooting at me. 2. I roamed above the cliffs on the new city. I hear Mosin shots in the distance and decide to pursue and Im on my way to climb down beside the stones. i hear m4 shots slightly closer, then my screen goes gray, as if hit, but no hitting sounds, no blood seen, not a single cracking sound by missed m4 shot. Suddenly I get rubberbanded 50 away and: You are Dead. Why thank you! 3. Similar to story 1. Go into the workshop with the open doors, following a guy there. Getting rubberbanded out of it again, by 50 meters. That was enough time for the guy to notice my coming. Dead, thanks again. -Constant "receiving" on the items followed by rubberbanding. This is also due to the still unfixed duping that goes rampant. It's well known how to dupe and we somehow don't get a fix for this critical thing that has to potential to crash servers if done excessivly. I never was so mad at this freakin game, and I played a damn lot. Nothing seems to work really. -Crashsites: their smoke is barely visible, for many people it wont render until they are 50 meters infront of it. For others it may render up to 100meters.-weapon shaking in a weird way-rubberbanding-weird blacklight in the inventory sceen instead of the whitelight-pointlessness of the entire cooking system because of its low efficency.-leatherbagpacks dissapearing on upgrading attempt....- basicly every bug that we reported in the extended experimental time made it to stable. This is almost as bad as the patch that fucked up framerates utterly, making playing almost impossible. All it really did in effect was:-make it easier to craft splints-fuck up weaponhandling-replace M4 with a weapon filling the same role, with the same lootspots I'm sure I missed something. BadAsh (DayZ) 1513 Posted June 19, 2014 I'm sure I missed something. Oh yes, animals, resource gathering (apples, wood, rock, worms, fish etc etc), crafting, new town which is currently the largest on the map, cancel current action, and loads of other things. But please don't let it get in the way of your rant.
Grimey Rick 3417 Posted June 19, 2014 The only thing they still haven't fixed that irks me are the random crash-to-desktop errors I seem to get when reconnecting to a server after a restart. IRKSOME.
Khanarac 252 Posted June 19, 2014 (edited) Actually no, i adressed everything you said beside the new, at this point unnecessary city. 40 Man servers don't need another city right now, it's still nice to have of course, and I like its layout very much. But... I adressed crafting: Either it doesnt work (backpacks) or is useless (fireplaces+cooking+fishing), as the time consumed and prerequesites for these activities is too high considering the low nutrition yield. tobias winfro 305 Posted June 19, 2014 Did anyone bother to file bug reports or just make a b-line to the forums to rouse the mob, to gather torches and pitchforks and shout about how broken this game is? I mean please let's not "test" the game, only play it and grumble because of missing or broken features. The patch dropped a little over 24 hours ago, I'm sure they are working on fixes but we are all going to need to be patient because after all it is alpha.
FragBeer 7 Posted June 19, 2014 (edited) Could easily have been a server issue. At least that is not something I have experienced yet in 0.45 after the rubberbanding fix.Do you get paid for undermining peoples problems? If you dont have the same problems, just play the game and shut up about it. How hard is that?. Here is a guy who had some troubles with the game and you and others try to convince him that this is just his internet or pc. What do you get from it?? If no one brings up this problems it will never get fixed. And just so you know, I had the exact same problems and so had 3-4 of my friends when we played last night. blacklabel79 949 Posted June 19, 2014 (edited) everything works fine for me..crafitng works as it should at this point...performancce got better..ect... loottables cant be discussed until they are functional in the sense of respawning loot instead of reseting the server to do so... Do you get paid for undermining peoples problems? do you to post shit like this ? :D PLUS...topics here dont change the fact that you lot should use the bugtracker instead of..you know...beign redundant.. hombrecz 832 Posted June 19, 2014 I experienced few cases of delay, when clicking stuff in inventory. Was not all the time, but happened few times. But during this time, also doors could not be open, so it seemed more like server issue. then what we had on experimental before (rubber banding)

Grimey Rick 3417 Posted June 19, 2014 Apparently if you restart the game everytime you switch servers you won't have that problem. Which is effectively the same thing as a crash-to-desktop error.
freethink 984 Posted June 19, 2014 (edited) Which is effectively the same thing as a crash-to-desktop error. Nope. You've misunderstood. You don't get random ctd on the first server you join. But if you leave that server and join another you might get a random crash after x minutes. To prevent the ctd when you leave a server, just restart the game if you want to switch servers. hexrain 11 Posted June 19, 2014 i also spawned in after logging and everything in my taloon backpack disappeared. if it was an internet connection problem i would have experienced it before. i havent. just noticed these things after last patch.... i mean it happened before but it is happening to a crazy degree now... i didnt make a bug report because most of the things i see on there have been reported 10 plus times. Dude, he was trying to help by simply suggesting that the issue may have been on his side. He wasn't trying to "convince" him anything. Things such as reconfiguring internet & rebooting the PC are legitimate troubleshooting fixes. What do you get from bashing people that are trying to help? Just because someone isn't experiencing the same issue, doesn't mean they're not knowledgable about the matter. Don't be so ignorant. How hard is that?

I understand fully. My point is that if you have to restart the game after the first server you join, that's not much better than just crashing in the first place. Caboose187 (DayZ) 3036 Posted June 19, 2014 Stop server hopping and all your crash to desktop issues will be solved. As for OP, no lag here, it`s gotta be on your end buddy.
RedGuard 40 Posted June 20, 2014 Bit of a similar story here too. On factory roof, running around, minding my own bizz. Sudden heavy rubber-banding. I back off the “W” key.Black screen, “you’re dead”, probably fell off. Oh well, good gear to anyone walking by. Red
Bororm 1156 Posted June 20, 2014 Yeah got more rubber banding since the patch, even if it's server side it still happens more than before the patch. Lot more error messages too. More lag/desync in general. Lots of little bugs. Pretty much standard affair when ever they patch, but overall I feel it's less stable than the last patch. I'm sure they'll work it out though. It's the same sorta shit that makes me sorta wonder why they like to take so long to patch to stable from experimental though. I get the point of experimental to find the big bugs/problems first, but they take so long to patch over to stable and then have to deal with more bugs any ways just due to the nature of stable being so much larger. I feel like they might as well make the process shorter and just get this shit over with quicker. I understand that in this instance it took a lot of work due to the rubber banding problem, which was the cause of the delay, I'm just speaking generally though. Stable is the alpha too, just sucks to wait for something that's not actually any better.
