question: server restart bridgeover ?

hi guys,

 

i was just wondering:

 

if you get "no message received for x seconds", due to the server restarting, but you dont disconnect.

will you be able to continue playing if the server goes up again ? or do you have to reconnect ?

 

like you get the no message received notification, wait 1-2 minutes and are able to continue playing just like before that message ?

I would be a damn nice to get an auto-reconnect feature going, at some point.

Wouldn't the goal to ultimately be to not need to restart any servers except on the standard weekly basis steam provides?

No message received is so fucking annoying. Running trough a middle of god damn air strip in one of the biggest military bases in game, worst place to spawn ever. And bam no message received, worst yet you get that message after 20 seconds so your character will spawn on the middle of the base like a big sign saying shoot me !

Yeh i remember him saying that, still got my fingers crossed hehe.

And even if they "only" manage to keep it running for x hours or days, a auto-reconnect feature would be awsome.

Originally the "Play"-button was supposed to do exactly that, but I have heard of people reporting it didn't work.

 

It always used to work for me, throwing me back into my last played server, without even knowing which one that would be.

Ahh i see :)

Ive never actually clicked that button yet lol, so had no idea.

I always just assumed it threw you into a random server, so ive never used it hehe.
