But i don't get how hopping still is worthwhile... when i spawn, there usually is no loot in the buildings around me. I thought it's a hopping countermeasure!? or is it just bad luck / a bug?

Well... yesterday I logged out near Stary, but I moved a little north to avoid being killed as a hopper. Then when I logged back in there was a chopper wreck right next to me. Got a nv scope FAL and M14 :)

With all of the counter hopping activity that has been springing up in the NWAF, I've found that several hoppers have taken to the EAF to pretty much guarantee chain ATC and hanger loots.

So I've just been sitting for hours on the surrounding mountains camping with my rifle for anyone that just "pops up" in the ATC without running up from one of the surrounding fields. Now that I've upgraded my CZ550 to an M107, I've moved away even further making for some very fun killshots. I'm going to buy FRAPS tonight so I can start making a "Hopper Neutralized" compilation video. I average a couple kills/hour currently at the NEAF.

today we made 2 ppl happy.....they were playing as a group and we seen them crawling on the AF....we told them over voice chat that we got them surrounded and they shouldnt try anything stupid....if they stay clam and dont shot...they can go in and lot the dead hoppers....so they did and were happy as fuck :D

thats how we roll....support the survivors-->fuck up the hoppers who take the loot !

I found that either camping prone in the corridor (at the very end, make sure you close ALL the doors first so you can see if someone comes out of one) worked quite well, but I imagine camping each room with friends would be better

camp room 2 or 3 at night in low pop servers. hoppers tend to spawn in room 4, 1 or the bathroom. easy kills. its still risky because its impossible to completely safeguard yourself from a window attack or same room fluke, but its about the best you can do. Personally I like to camp stary sober when i'm running solo, again at night.

camp the middle rooms. Most hoppers start at the end (furthest from the door) and make their way down.
