animals vs zeds

Recommended Posts

Anyone have any idea if they ever plan to have zeds hostile towards the animals in game? How cool would it be to see one sprint across a field and take down a cow or something... Meh just a random thought

this is already happening on experimental - I often watch zeds run down a cow or rabbit and successfully kill it, even saw it happen to a deer once. almost makes the world believable.

it's funny to watch the first time you see a Z attacking the cows. they turn to you as soon as they're finished though

Pardonwhat?

Believable that a person (even a zombified/infected one) can run down a rabbit or a deer?

I ran down a deer yesterday and killed it with my axe just to see if it was possible oh and because on some other thread peeps were a bitchin cause the deer are too hard to kill without a gun or some such silly nonsense. one should also note the word "almost" in my orig post by the way.

They need to fix that, then!

Wild animals are impossible to get close to, unless you trap them. Deer, especially, cos they're so timid and flighty, and they can run like fuck!

They should be difficult to kill, even with a gun!

Perhaps when they have hostile animals, we can watch battles on a hill side of a pack of wolves vs zombies.. ;)

If that were to happen, I predict a lot of betting would happen which side would win

oh I agree completely - it is funny to watch tho ;) as far as animal behavior goes in a game I think thehunter online nailed it. those deer are flighty and fast.

I watched a zed chase a poor little piggy. The most disturbing thing was the look on the zombies face and the way he was chasing it. I don't think he was going to kill it

Agreed. That is dumb.

Same thing with them taking down cows. Cows are BIG. I dare somebody to walk up to a cow and piss it off. I'll visit you in the hospital.

Well your not gonna punch a cow to death at least, but with any sort of sharp weapon youd be fine.

Was part of the reason I brought this up in the first place.  I think its going to make for some seriously interesting wildlife encounters when all is said and done.
