Turns out you can vault through windows!

As it turns out, you can vault right through the (edit: broken/missing glass) windows in the stairwell of the high rise apartments!

 

Anyways, gonna go get my stuff back.

oh and I spawned at the empty new city north of Svetlajorsk (or whatever it is)

After all that, I wasn't able to loot my body. It just didnt' show up lootable, though body was visible.

 You need someone else to loot your corpse and get your gear and stash it for you while you run back.

Yeah, you only got about 10 minutes to get back, or something like that. It would be nice if they made your body invisible so you don't encounter this.

You can also jump off the tops of high rise buildings, just make sure you land on the top of a tree and you'll slide down slowly. Judge it right and select the right tree and you won't hurt yourself doing this.

speaking of the high rise apartments, in the tall ones that have a ladder in the center, is that ladder safe to go up?  I've seen it but never tried because it looks like there's a pit under it.

It's a DayZ thing, so basically if you try and do it, you'll fail. Do it by accident and you'll pull it off.. ;)
