I love the game... but I hate flinching

Recommended Posts

looting items -> hear zombie cries -> start sweating -> that zombie pops up out of nowhere -> i jump and bump my knee on the table -> holycrapthatzombieistryingtokillmewtfwhatshouldIdopanicpanicpanicpanicpanicpanicpanicpanicpanic -> the panic makes makes aiming impossible and end up emptying a couple clip to kill one zombie -> pant, pant, I hate when that happens screw this game and exit dayz -> 3 minutes later I realize nothing is more fun than dayz -> run dayz -> repeat

this is real torture

wanting to play the game really bad but I can't because I hate flinching

someone help me

zombies are just annoying to me, ESPECIALLY with the UI lag.

hit button to get pistol out -> nothing happens -> hit button again -> nothing happens -> hit button a million times -> gun comes out -> gun goes back into bag -> swear -> try to run -> try to get gun out -> stops running -> right click -> zombie jumps through me -> gun goes away for some reason -> get shot by someone -> spawn -> alt-f4.

Day Z.

Go outside, visit a fucking theme park, join the army, get laid, do something exhilarating with your life, come back and play dayz, no more flinching.

You see this is just a game and that zombie is not really trying to eat you, also people are not really shooting at you as it's not actually happening, you don't have to be scared anymore. got it, good.

But wait! When those aggressive animals come to the game, you will never play at night. Think yourself in a dark fores at night, 20 kilometers to civilization. Just staying at your small campfire alone and you hear wolves. You got no gun or anything to kill those. Anyone would shit in their pants while playing DayZ

Hydrocodone or a good haze blend should calm down that twitch and flinch... :P

Op I use to be ultra jumpy, I found running around with no clothes on help, just play with the "nothing to lose attitude" and it should get better

He actually has the right idea; I decided to do this with a fresh spawn one time, and, after finding a pipe wrench, some worker gloves and a flat cap, I ripped up my t-shirt and ran around Electro looking for people to ask them if they had any plumbing that needed fixing. Sometimes just screwing around can break the tension, and then you're good to go. :)
