Vidya Bag 11 Posted June 2, 2014 An immersive game such as DayZ warrants immersive sounds. I took the liberty of replacing the current in-game audio with my own recorded and sampled sound assets. This isn't a sound pack usable in game (yet), rather a peek into what the game could sound like.
Cuqah 22 Posted June 2, 2014 I really do like this adds a lot more of a horror game feeling which in DayZ i tend to want from time to time. If you do make this into an actually downloadable sound pack that would be awesome
XibaRootS 40 Posted June 2, 2014 its amazing what a sound improvement can do in a game, And on my opinion this would be an awesome improvement. Nice work
SFRGaming 718 Posted June 2, 2014 VERY good. Might I make some suggestions? Footsteps on concrete sounded like you had wet sand constantly on the bottom of your boots. I would add more base sound to it. And the gun sounds are a tad bit over-glorified. Other than that, loved it!

Heh the gunshot is very much over-glorified: its a combination of a mac 10, mp5, howitzer tank shell, winchester lever action, m60 LMG, m16 and something else blended together. Was going for the over-the-top sound you hear in a film.

One thing the gun sounds need is the echo you'd hear after the gun has fired.
billymckendrick 27 Posted June 2, 2014 Guns are a bit much and the concrete footsteps sound a little too crunchy... Still so much better than vanilla sounds

thelonelyone 103 Posted June 2, 2014 Is this what your game sounds like right now or you just edited on a Video Editing Software? Because if it is in-game... GIBE SAUND EFECTS PLS. PS: Amazing work, by the way.
RosscoMac 75 Posted June 2, 2014 Really nice video mate! :D It would be great if DayZ evolved into something like this in future. Long way away from that happening though!
audax 207 Posted June 2, 2014 (edited) this is awesome, i hope the sounds will be similiar to this example. the zombie sounds are far better. Edited June 2, 2014 by Edoissimo

Rauchsauger 94 Posted June 3, 2014 Very good except for the gunshots. In a game like DayZ it is very important to tell guns from one another by sound.
