cheaters make game unplayable

Now that that's out of the way OP seems like he plays DayZ SA as a death match simulator.  Against his play style I almost support the cheaters.  Almost.

The last week has been impossible to enjoy the game. The game is filled with cheaters. 

 

I liked looting with my friends and then heading to Berezino for some DM. 

 

We need an update ASAP to deal with these assholes

Can I make a suggestion?

 

Update your playing style and quit going to Berezino. It isn't the only place for good DM.

 

Cheaters aren't that creative, hence why they cheat so it's east to predict where they go and Berezino isn't exactly hard to figure out that cheaters will be there in force.

 

Anybody that comes onto a hardcore server we're on in Svelto, chances are they will run into trouble. It's not as hot as Bereznio, but its pretty dam fun.

 

There are other places that are fun for DM, maybe not as hot as Berezino but a little patience and it's worth the wait.

 

Since we've been there [approx 5 weeks] we've run into about 4 hackers and killed every single one of them. Actually, that's a lie…a few actually escaped during a server restart believe it or not and they were freshies teleporting and speed hacking.

 

I have played over 100h, have yet to see a hacker.

I have played 900+ hours and ran into about a dozen or so.

Had a strange encounter with one of these guys on the coast of berezino.  He was crouched with a fresh spawn, I ran up and he proceeded to miss me with his infinite ammo shotgun, point blank, about 10 times.  Then he finally killed me and blasted on my body nonstop for a good while.  While waiting to respawn I overheard the two talking.

 

The odd bit was, the hacker guy seemed like he was legitimately brand new to the game.  I could hear fresh spawn guy, who presumably was his buddy trying to explain the game to him and stuff, but also asking him if he could give him weapons.  The hacker dude responded with some shit along the lines of "sure, what are the good guns?" or whatever.  Just the stuff he was saying sounded a lot like he was brand new to the game, which is pretty sad since the impression I got was, he bought the game just to hack.

We've ran into hackers with guns and still not impressed. It's all how you situate yourself tactic wise. If your out in the open running around all silly like, then yeah…a teleporting, speedhacking crumb-off might get the job done. But if you take measures, calculated measures…they are pretty easy to beat. I'm not going to give out tactics because a hacker can read my words and counter it so I'll leave it at that.

 

My best advice is be tactical and get creative because hackers aren't. That part of their brain is dark, no lights. Use their hacks against them [w/o hacking if you know what I mean]. The uncreative are easily out-thought.

Am I mad that 50 million dollars in revenue and over 2 years of knowing that the Stand Alone would be a huge success still leaves us with crappy core, mechanics, and anti-cheating measures?

 

You  bet your damn ass I am mad and disgusted at the same time.

Come back in a year if we are mad?   The hype will be dead for the game before they ever finish the basic mechanics....... If you can't come to the same conclusion than you are in denial.

Think of this forum as the wild Serengeti filled with hyena's. Show the slightest sign of weakness and the pack will shred you to ribbions.

 

You did whinge a bit so it's not like you didn't bring it on yourself. You can still make the same thread, but reword it a bit. Like instead of we need an update ASAP, ask for suggestions or what other people do to combat hackers. Stuff like that. Ask for a better way instead of complaining a la we need this or we need that.

 

Ask questions because there are some good folks on the board who like to answer them.

 

The Devs know about hacking and if you could take a look at this sticky found in the top of General Discussion you would see a Dev adressing this very issue and tearing up some regulars here a new asshole. Fun to read tbph.

People on this very board, on the mod end said the hype would be dead before SA came out and look at how that played out? We got new players by the boatload playing DayZ.

A dozen+ isn't a couple. A couple is two. I indicated my hacker count because people in this very thread say they haven't seen any. E.G.: So Sexy has 100 hours in and hasn't seen one, Golden Child has 500 hours and hasn't seen one, ManInTheWall has 400 hours and hasn't seen one, DJPorterNZ has 341 hours in experimental and hasn't seen one. Well I have 900 hours in and seen more than a dozen…that is why I posted that.

 

I don't enter jails in NEAF because I know people hang out inside the walls. It's pretty well known that folks are inside walls in jails. If you know that, why put yourslef in harm's way? It's not tactical of, relating to, or constituting actions carefully planned to gain a specific military end.

It was a VAC enabled game, i had a bookmark folder filled whit steam profiles of cheaters, A LOT OF PROFILES, guess what, almost none of them got banned....

I personally think this is one of the best reasons the game should be in open Alpha. For one, nobody but nobody is going to flush out any and all the possible avenues of hacking as cheaters will. And two, the cheaters may be comfortable in their perceived immunity, but I'd imagine when the Fix comes in a lot of graves have already been dug....

another newbie who complains about berezino death match having cheaters. Want less cheaters? Leave the damn coast. Hacks won't be fixed anytime soon. Only unlimited ammo hack has a fix, but it won't come for a month at least. Personally I find it funny that some people are so bad at this game (which is so easy, that it is insane) that they resort to cheating. I mean, how of a loser one has to be to use cheats in a such easy game? Counterstrike requires more skill than DayZ.

How dare you tell him to leave the coast, how is he supposed to bully those weaker than him. I mean he is only complaining because someone else has an upper hand. These a**holes need to be dealt with immediately, so op and his friends can go back to killing fresh spawn. Shame on you MaxRain. ;)
