No Sound In game at all

I have no sound in game at all, already tried my two sound devices, checked the windows mixer, reinstalled dayz, etc. I don't know when it happens but a couple months ago my game was running perfectly. Sorry for bad english, not my native language.

Yes. My headset is working properly (Skype, Games, Chrome).

Yes, maximum volume.

do you have speakers connected to the pc as well as your headset, and are the game sounds coming out of your speakers instead?

I tried everything: speakers, 2 different headsets, on-board soundcard, off-board sound card. I also reinstalled soundcard drivers. Still no sound :(

turn off Steam

plug in your headset

turn Steam back on

this worked for me

 

- Steam has audio select options in the config page,

 

- there are threads about "no sound" already, with more detail

Maybe on a whim one of your sound PBO's is corrupt. 

 

• Close steam and your game, set your audio device.
• Launch steam as administrator.
• Right click dayz in your library.
• Go to properties.
• Select local files.
• Verify game cache.
• Launch into a server and report back.
