havn't seen or heard anything about an update I know at PAX east he stated it would be the end of april and that's past so its up in the air. no devblogs or any info at all. I think they quit telling us when it will happen because the last time they missed a deadline everyone went berserk so now they release an update then patch notes etc.

Expect a big stable update at the end of the month: animals, campfires, akm, maybe a sub machine gun, chopping down trees.

Dean was very active on reddit a few days ago and right now they are doing work to stop zombies going though walls, he sounded pretty optimistic as clearly the current zombie system is a complete disaster and he was speaking as though there had been a breakthrough of sorts regarding the zombie pathfinding, something to do with navmesh. I do agree though that a reliable devblog once a week would go a long way to satisfying the community.

All the info we have for the release date is "when it's ready" (Hopefully it's pushed to experimental on wednesday)

Includes Campfires (but you can't do anything with it) Flares, AKM, PSO1 scope, new clothes, 1-2 towns and some other stuff, that's about all we know.

I'm going to guess that because the update has campfires we will also be able to cut down trees, not confirmed though.

It is uncertain whether the zombie things will be in the next experimental. Akm, fires, bow working, hunting, new city, and a lot of other things have been confirmed for next experimental, but it sounded like the zombies needed more work, even if the navmesh is done.

Are "campfires" the function which allows you to store gear?

It's a legit question. We were told that players would be able to store items at campfires, sort of like a mini tent.

I think it's really sad that the devs choose the cesspit that is reddit over the official forums...

And I've been saying this about the lack of devblog updates for the longest time lol... You gotta keep us updated!

Next patch is in about 3 months.  It will deliver one new outfit and one new weapon.  After that patch, you'll need to wait 6 months for the next one, which will bring two new outfits.  No bug fixes or stability improvements for another two years.

In other words. So they are still gonna go threw walls but now they can run up stairs!
