Pistol Flashlight

I noticed sometimes the pistol flashlight doesnt work.  Sometimes I'll attach a battery and turn it on, but nothing happens and it gives me the option to turn it off.  It doesn't happen all the time, just sometimes.  Right now, or example, rummaging through the night looking for a pistol flashlight, just found one, popped the battery in, popped the light on the pistol, clicked turn on in inventory and.....nothing happens, but it gives me the option to turn it off.  

 

Anyone have any tips? tricks?

Hmm. I wish I could help. I often play on night time servers because I love them. And for efficient self defense I use a pitsol with a flashlight attached. Never had this bug before. But, the battery died on a couple of occasions. It didn't matter if the battery was pristine or badly damaged, if it ran out of electricity there's nothing else to do but to change it. You can test batteries by licking them btw. ;)

I would guess either the battery or the flashlight (are both) are ruined. I find ruined attachments quite often. Maybe it's server side, since sometimes when a server is having trouble no one can open food or doors.

Had a gas lamp stop working in a similar manner - wasn't ruined, perhaps it ran out of gas? - probably bug but interesting

The small canister lasts only for about 20 to 30 mins. I have yet run out of gas on a large one, but I would guess it's about the double. I try to always carry one on me as I love night time play and the light the gas lamp emits! B)

Never had issues with a Pristine or Worn one, However I had some problems with a badly damaged one a few days ago, just wouldn't work.. Guessing that Badly damaged is the pistol flashlight's Ruined. :p
