Was I sniped?

Okay I bought this game a week ago and have 24 hours in. I am getting better at navigating between towns with the online map and so I went to a server that only had 3 people on it and myself, walked west of GORKA to the airfield (took like 40 mins to get there) I arrived looked and didn't see anyone in any of the buildings, which I looted nearly all I could until I got to the (bunker? the one with the jail cell) went to the second floor (room with all the bunk beds) then after about 5 seconds my screen went black with the "You're Dead" thing. My chat box said "your leg is extremely painful, then your leg is broken. Never heard a sound or anything. Was I sniped? or glitched? Cause I've randomly died in the past from glitched ladders and such.

this has happened to me to, a LOT of times.

you probably got desync and fell through the floor.

Well, those log messages indicate that you were so unfortunate to slip through something and broke your leg with immediate death.

A thing that has happened to a couple of players in that room:

 

If you go down the side of the bed near the window, and you try to look under the bed, it can be that part of your body, like your foot for instance, sticks out through the wall.. then a zombie outside, on the ground, can hit you from the ground. I had my leg broken this way.

 

Also, glitch players can hide in the next room, the one that you can not get into (they glitch through the wall into the closed room). Then they can glitch to shoot you before you see them. There are threads about this, look around the forum to check it out.

 

If you are shot only 1 time and die fast you maybe do not hear the shot. Killed by a sniper you can be dead suddenly without hearing anything.

 

But in my case, it was def a zombie outside that hit me while I was crouched down near the outside wall.

Sounds like the Desync monster got you and your body went right through the wall and you fell to your death, happened to me twice in Elektro a few days back.

Not to derail here. But cant you hear footsteps and whatnot near your corpse if you wait at the "you are dead" screen? I dont often wait on that screen so im not sure if you can or not.

Yep, and the killer moving your ammo - ammo split sound - if he loots it, and talk..

I was on the tallest building in Cherno with endgame gear, TTSKO, full attachments. Desync'ed and got teleported one foot outside of the top of the build and fell to my death...My squad-mates heard me yell NONONONONONO! It was kind-of funny actually.
