Rhygar666 26 Posted May 7, 2014 The gamma exploit needs to be fixed (mayble disable the gamma option in the menu). well i can increase gamma on my monitor and save settings load them within like 3 seconds, theres also that. otherwise yeah i hoped they just excluded changing gamma from the settings, maybe like 1 or 2 points darker and lighter not just all the way up. dgeesio 1034 Posted May 7, 2014 simple reasons are 1: playing in light is easier2: server admins 24/7 light or restart so light because players prefer light and to keep server ranked as high as possible.3: lighting is terrible in arma in dark !
agentneo 337 Posted May 7, 2014 we're talking about DayZ right? and I'm not sure you get my point, the night times playable without a torch with max gamma up. so you're at a massive disadvantage with your shiny torch in the distance.Yes we are, just the majority of the community seem to be immature exploiting little scrubs who can't even consider some people would enjoy to play a zombie survival game properly. I said in my previous posts the gamma/brightness should be locked at +60% on the scale. And even so, if you are in a night with no moon, inside or in forest, even with your BS gamma exploit you will not see anything in pitch black if there is no moonlight anyway,,, Obviously you and the guys haven;'t played much nighttime or you would know that. Bororm 1156 Posted May 7, 2014 When incentive is created to stay on one server (tents, bases, even just loot respawning) you will see night become more popular. Right now, too many of the systems (or lack there of) encourage server hopping to begin with. Night time's just another reason to as there's no real incentive to stay put. Is it a shitty attitude? Yes, but it's the truth.
