umberfive 89 Posted April 24, 2014 We call them street chapel (german: Straßenkapelle). These are small chapels for wandering people. They are fairly common in middle south europe.
AshleyP 121 Posted April 24, 2014 That's actually the Master's TARDIS. There's one in the new-ish village in the north-west. As far as I can tell they aren't functional yet, but once they patch them up you'll be able to travel to any time period and relative dimension in space. Watch out for a tall, dishevelled man with a big scarf - he'll try to meddle with things.
Katana67 2907 Posted April 24, 2014 (edited) Prayer huts. I love how everyone has a different name for buildings in DayZ. "Bro! There's a dude on top of the school!" "WHAT THE FUCK THERE IS NO SCHOOL! ... Oh, you mean the office, idiot" Camo building vs. jail, etc. Edited April 24, 2014 by Katana67
Irish. 4886 Posted April 25, 2014 Anyone know what the proper name for these are? Thanks!I am Antiochian Orthodox myself which is basically the same as the in game churches. This is literally a church, like this one here but vastly different architecture..
maninthewall 470 Posted April 25, 2014 Camo building vs. jail, etc.Camo building? I have never ever heard anyone say that, I call them prisons
Irish. 4886 Posted April 25, 2014 I love how everyone has a different name for buildings in DayZ. "Bro! There's a dude on top of the school!" School is what we all called it in the mods.. not office. "WHAT THE FUCK THERE IS NO SCHOOL! ... Oh, you mean the office, idiot" Now people call it the office.. for some reason. I still want to call it the school. Camo building vs. jail, etc. Again what we called it in the mods was camo building.
Katana67 2907 Posted April 25, 2014 Camo building? I have never ever heard anyone say that, I call them prisons I've heard camo building used a lot in the few Youtube videos that I've seen. One of the benefits of playing solo is you don't have to call buildings anything :D

Irish. 4886 Posted April 25, 2014 (edited) But you still do, don't you? :P " .. and that one there, well I call her Suzie. Because she is red and pretty.." says the lone survivor to no one, as he slowly runs his hands through the hair of a Zed he has just taken an Axe to for several minutes straight. Weyland Yutani (DayZ) 1159 Posted April 25, 2014 (edited) I love how everyone has a different name for buildings in DayZ. "Bro! There's a dude on top of the school!" "WHAT THE FUCK THERE IS NO SCHOOL! ... Oh, you mean the office, idiot" Funny you bring this up as this annoys me as well. No idea where they got school from. If one loads up A2OA/3D Editor/Jon-C5 Editor the official name is A_Office01. I always took the 'A' to mean Administration and call that building the Admin Building. Not far off, but not exact. Office is the correct name. If anyone is interested, Post #2 by DropBearChick nailed it on the head. They are called Small Orthodox Church if you GIS them. There is a famous Russian Orthodox church on King George Island near Russian Bellingshausen Station in Antartica called the Trinity Church which is interesting as there is only three of them in-game. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trinity_Church_%28Antarctica%29 http://ultima0thule.blogspot.com/2011/10/southern-thule-church-in-antarctica.html This one is interesting!http://www.summitpost.org/tiny-orthodox-church-above/103513 Edited April 25, 2014 by Weyland Yutani
