Look, they want to add game play features fine. Sure, but I'd rather have 5 working features then 50 broken ones. 

 

And please, taking a shit? How is that even remotely worth while. I cannot for the life of me, imagine how they concluded to add this. At first i thought it was a joke, I mean I still think it is an April fools prank thats a little late.

What happens is they move along with development and fix the bugs at a later time.

 

 

Defecating can be a good mechanic if you imagine it tied to your characters health and well being system.

 

In order to keep a healthy character you need a cycle to happen.

 

Eat, Drink and defecate. If you view it in this manner you can see how it might be a good mechanic but nobody can truly say yet until it is added and the community tests it out.

I rather they keep adding content and gameplay features and ignore bugs.

 

The game does not need to be enjoyable or playable right now its an alpha and trying to fix any and every bug just slows down development.

 

Who cares if it is full of bugs or wonkyness so long as development moves along and we help test it I am happy.

I can imagine how this is going to be animated on third person too, disturbing and I wish I hadn't... but I can imagine. Perhaps this is a ploy to get people to play hardcore?

You actually don't want to use human fecal matter as a fertilizer for crops. If you do that, you are all but guarenteed to get some sort of parasite....

It's poo, It could be perfectly and tastefully implemented (which, lets be honest here...it won't be, people will be throwing it around like that one god awful bit from duke nukem forever) and it would still be a stupid and unnecessary mechanic that adds nothing of value to the game.

I can see it playing a role in player health once permanent bases are in.

 

Defecating inside or near your home will help spread disease and sicken your character.

Although i agree that it could be made tasteful, it just wouldn't be good.You will have kids screaming "I GATZ POOOP!" and other crazy nonsense. Also the disease factor could EASILY come from other things i.e not boiling water or being close to decaying bodies for too long. I just can't see a solid positive to adding it.

 

Your argument can be used against any feature added to this game. Any feature can (and will) be abused by kids. But that is no reason why it should be removed so the rest of us can't use it. You are basically letting your fear of "little kids" letting you call for making this game worse.

Pop a squat, 10 sec squat animation plays, bam done. You just pooped. Poop object on the ground if you truly want. Just because little kids will fuck around doesn't mean it doesn't have a place.
