Fresh spawns complaining about KoS

Okay, I totally understand that you get pissed if you're shot by some KoS a-hole from a long distance. That would piss me off too. 

But seriously, I see way to many fresh spawns just sprinting towards me, just yelling "FRIENDLY!!!". What the hell do you think is gonna happen, if the player you're running towards is armed?

 

I actually saw one guy, the same day I met someone who I've actively been playing with, in Svetlojarsk. I had a M1911 pistol in my hands, me and my friend were running towards Berezino, and it was on a 100P server.

He came up to me and just started yelling "FRIENDLY!". As I am a hero in game, I didn't threaten him, I instead tried talking with him, but he kept on screaming "FRIENDLY". It was weird, because his accent was british, I'd reckon he understand us. 

Once he stopped yelling, I said that we were gonna go to Berezino and I suggested he could come with us. He didn't respond, he just kept on running in circles around me. 

Me and my friend ran away without him, but he kept on running around me. 

I told him to back off, because he was really annoying and I didn't want him to punch any of us. I pointed my gun at him, so he would understand I am serious.

He said "Oh you're gonna shoot a fresh spawn you f****ng a-hole?" while following me, not keeping a distance. As he ran he kept on saying that until I pulled the trigger, and he fell to the ground as he said "You f****ng bandit shooting fresh spawns!!"

 

Seriously? Things like this has happened many times to me.

Just because you just spawned doesn't make you some sort of God, that I don't have permission to shoot without being an a**.

I see people complain about KoS all the time, especially when they're shot as fresh spawns.

 

To make a long story short, if you're one of these fresh spawns sprinting up to armed players yelling friendly, don't expect a warm welcome unless it's me you're meeting.

Fresh spawns are still big threats, as 3 punches to the head knocks you out.

If the other guy doesn't talk, type, make no sense or acts suspiciously or annoying after being told to leave several times you are completely justified in killing him. I'll always talk first unless the other person is clearly hostile (you witness them killing for no reason) but if you fuck around, I'm putting you down. OP did nothing wrong.

I kill all fresh spawns on experimental. All they ever do is try and knock me out and take my gear. I think it is perfectly acceptable to kill a fresh spawn because of this. what have the got to loose? They have bugger all and if they wanted to keep their spawn, don't run up to a geared guy at factory when he tells you to keep your distance.

We need to stop kidding ourselves here. There's only one reason to do this, and it's to kill. Unless they're genuinely new to the game, even newspawns only stay on the coast to get involved in the deathmatching these days and probably don't want or need your help. We all do it, there's no reason to deny it, but there's also no need to make threads complaining about either party.

but to be serious man, the ones who complain about KoS are getting killed on their way somewhere. Imagine you are running and BAAAM headshot. You probably didn't even see the guy. Totaly unnecessary. This is what people are complaining about. The guy you met is just another troll. I am trolling everybody at any time as a fresh spawned because it's fun. Annoying? Like I care... I'm having lots of fun and if you are not, sorrey to hear that. Games should make fun but definitely not making others rage or have a bad mood or complain about anything. You can say there is a lot of stuff to complain and I say, you knew what you're buying :)

We all do it, there's no reason to deny it, 

I'm not sure about you but I have the most fun creating groups of fresh spawns and get them all geared. Surviving as a group is about 100 times funnier than a 5 second adrenaline rush of killing a fresh spawns :D

I would just forget him and wouldn't have even mentioned him in a thread. If he thinks he could do the same in a RL situation he's kind of stupid..i would have shot him if i was in your position.

It is a very vital part.

But the scale of it has gotten a bit out of hand.

There needs to be a bit less KOS and a bit more teamwork.

But I would never want it eliminated completely by any means.

 

why though.

 

I honestly think we will not see peoples playstyles change until we get private hives.

 

Once we get private hives people will start to form factions, and groups and people will be civil to each other within these factions but not each other.

 

Right now with the public hive I just shoot everyone because I know there are no factions and little chance of joining them and not getting shot in the back in the process.

First thing I would have done the second time he said anything harrassing to me was shoot him period.

 

I don't randomly kill anyone in this game. I do it with purpose only. In this case the purpose would be to shut up the real ahole chirping in your ear acting better than the rest of us...
