NOT New BUIS Sight

Recommended Posts

What do you guys think of the new BACK UP IRON SIGHTS for the M4A1?

I personally like them, though an ACOG or a Red Dot is obviously superior.

It's alright doesn't really do to much. Would be nice if it was directly useful.

Its an iron sight.

Do you expect to MAGICALLY make the gun more accurate like the Magpul parts?

Those have been around for awhile. I've had one for...at least a month or so. Unless...is there something different about them?

Personally, I like them much better than the standard sight. I prefer being able to see more of the target area.

Uuhh yeah, have you ever shot a gun before?

Without a rear sight you couldn't align the barrel with the target. As it stands, it doesn't make a difference if you have a rear sight or not, so why use BIUS at all?

I have shot a gun before. I have shot plenty of guns before.

What I meant is to you expect it to magically stop the bullets from curving the way they do?

The BUIS and the Carryhandle Optics both don't affect how the bullet flies, they just make it easier for the person using the rifle to aim accurately.

Its a purely cosmetic decision between picking one or the other.

what you are asking for is that without a rear sight the game does not align the sights correctly not for random dispersion  right ?

Those aren't new :P But I don't like them, I prefer to just take the carry handle off and have an open cross hair.

I hope so. I thought he was saying it is useless as most M4A1's come with the carryhandle optics, but now I see what he is saying, and I hope he doesn't mean sights should start affecting the bullshit dispersion.

Hence the entire point of my first post in this thread. It seems like you are confused.

Let me rephrase:

The BIUS has no functional purpose. Although the intention of the item is to give you clearer peripheral vision, it is pointless because the weapon functions perfectly fine without a rear sight.

Once again, the rear ghost ring has no function. You can aim with only the front sight.

With all that said, yes it is cool looking I like it. Would like it if it mattered if I put it on a weapon.

Ah, yes, I misread your post.

A rear sight should be essential to aiming precisely, and the weapon should be a lot more difficult to handle. How do you deal with this without random dispersion is beyond me.

I think it's beyond all of us. I just say alpha and turn a blind eye.

^ this.. they just always spawned half in the ground and thus were very hard to see.

Ive tried them before and find the open front sight with no carry handle is best until you find a scope of any kind.

I wish there was a system where instead of random dispersion happening the players would misaligned the sights if he was in a tired state out of breath or if he had no rear sight.

This could atleast be countered with skill and experience unlike RNG dispersion currently in game.

This would also put importance on rear sights in weapons due to them being critical for aligning the weapons .

We're talking about the BUIS sight not weapon dispersion. lol

Edit: NVM I see your point.

I think at the very least, without a rear sight you shouldn't be able to zero your weapon.

Also, I think that sight is ugly =P  And I think people who take off the rear sights on the m4 and only use the front sight should go to hell

That's an awful thing to say, would your mother be proud of you saying that?

It's the devs fault for making that a viable strategy.

The player should not even be able to align the sight

I prefer this over any of the sights except the acog, i love this sight and find it the most superior sight in cqc but each to his own (obviously 4x for long range engagements)

A cynic.

The M68 and RV1 red dots are garbage in my opinion. If I can't find a BUIS I don't use anything.

For me: BUIS > no attachment > red dots.

Obviously the ACOG is a necessity for mid-range shots. I keep one in my bag at all times.
