igor-vk 909 Posted April 19, 2014 Hasn't there been a new town for quite some time now? Also on stable I mean...I went there once, several red brick buildings, firestation, piano houses, new hunter pub building with two floors...if I remember correctly.North of that town (Chernaya Polana) is supose to be another new village - Karmanovka. Is that in this update?
ZomboWTF 527 Posted April 19, 2014 Yeah, I had a "Session Lost", and when I logged in someplace else got the penalty. Kinda bogus for that kind of thing but I get it. Keeps folks from the "server jump ambush" exploit since t will take awhile to get back now. well thats exactly the thing:it doesn't stop people from doing thatif you see someone on elektro hill for example, and you would be a ghoster, you can take your sweet time, spawn 50 meters behind him so he doesnt hear your spawning sound, and roll soundlessly to the spot camping people camp for more than 5 minutes in dayZ, and a server change restriction is only making it taking more timeokay, in shootouts, ghosting is not as good applicable as it was before, where basically your join time was the timer, but i think a real solution needs to be made: private hives for example the shared hive is a neat idea for casual DayZ players, but a private hive for a single server is pretty much THE thing to cancel out most of the meta-game

srgntpepper 85 Posted April 21, 2014 So...uhh..does it hurt when you throw items at people? My understanding is that only throwable objects collide with static objects(like walls) at the moment. They just go right through players.

bauertschi 254 Posted April 21, 2014 (edited) My understanding is that only throwable objects collide with static objects(like walls) at the moment. They just go right through players. There goes my public stoning of a handcuffed bandit idea =( Actually I think I read here somewhere that somebody threw a hammer at a zed and the hit indicator showed. Tried it with a wrench yesterday, but I missed. It's actually harder than you think, when you are doing circles around a zed. Just collect items to throw and try it. If nothing happens, consider it aiming practice ;). Edit: Maybe it does work with weapons and not with other things like books or so... srgntpepper 85 Posted April 21, 2014 There goes my public stoning of a handcuffed bandit idea =(I have also heard rocks are considered two handed objects which can't be thrown right now. Give it some time man, they'll get all of that working. I would mostly like to use throwing things as a way to distract people, or trick them into turning there attention where I am not, but I wont be able to do that for a while
