Zedertone 378 Posted April 8, 2014 So, I was just wondering your guys opinion on how you think DayZ Standalone is going?My opinions are, well, I think it's going pretty damn good. It's in early alpha, and there's already a lot. I've heard rumors about Rocket stepping down from lead developer and things like that, but that's his deal. I think the game has an awesome future, no matter who steps down. king_of_the_beans 92 Posted April 8, 2014 Well I don't mean to be a downer, I love how things are working out and coming out, each update makes the game better and better. Too many games today rush the development and sell an unfinished product for the full price (i.e. bf4), which just annoys the community. At least the BI team is taking the time to work out the bugs and fix the game instead of turning it into a complete money-grab. Honestly, I have sunk almost 200 hours into this game and I still play it every so often, which is amazing for an alpha. DayZ just oozes intensity. I usually play on my own and whenever I see a squad of players or even just a single man, my heart starts going ape shit. No game has ever made me feel this way (except from back in the call of duty GB days when the score was 3-3 and you had to clutch.) But even still, I think DayZ is far more intense than that. Yeah sure, the game has bugs, there's hackers, etc. But I'm pretty sure most of the bugs and glitches will be eliminated in the upcoming patches. There's also the excitement of waiting for a new update to come out. Hell, I'm actually pretty excited for the next update coming out actually, sounds promising as to what I've read!
