New SMG Announced... Any guesses?

The vector and scar wouldn't make sense since the US military does not field those rifles and the US special forces got rid of all their scars for apparently being pieces of crap.

USSOCOM purchased, kept, and has continued procurement of their Mk 17s. Which are now seeing heavy use with SOF in Afghanistan. They only ditched the Mk 16s, as they couldn't justify maintaining/procuring them in favor of their M4s.

Plenty of em' here, amongst the blurred PERSEC faces.

Hello there

I do like the idea of there being Out Of Place weapons in game as there is some precedent to including them.

But, they doo need to be on the rarer end of the spectrum

Id like to see the tables go in this kiind of order from most to least available:

Civilian plinkers and agricultural shotties and pest control weapons

Sport and Civilian tacticool OOP

Police/Militia

Military

Military Rare and heavy

Military OOP Rifles

Lastly, bear in mind we are veering of which smg we think might me included so lets try to steer it back.

Im as guilty as the rest of us.

You raise a good point in that the current loot table paradigm is pretty black and white. It's (as I understand it) based on the building type (i.e. residential/industrial versus military/police).

Not sure this is a good approach. I like the idea of splitting it up by weapon, rather than solely by the building in which the weapon spawns.

I agree. If you can predict your loot just by locking at a building that's a bad thing.

Of course you should be able to have a general idea (Military base -> military loot ; appartment house -> food/clothes) but you shouldn't know that there will be a basic rifle on the shelf in that particular creme and green building.
