New Player - Infestation:Survivor Stories Vet

Hello everyone,

 

I have a few questions and really don’t know much about this game and I am lost. If someone has a link to any of this information please share.

 

Right now all I have been playing is Infestation: Survivor Stories, It’s a great game. I was wondering if Day Z is going to be sub based or ftp after you buy the game?  Does it have a Marketplace like Infestation? Is Dayz considering having sales like the one infestation is doing right now. I think they are having a 30% GC sale and an 85% off account sales.

 

Any help would be great.

There won't be a subscription, just the price of purchase. Marketplace won't be happening either, so you're in luck.

 

Sales are unlikely since the game hasn't even released yet, but who knows what will happen in the future.

Well, DayZ wont be in sale before release. Its already lower price that it is going to be when released. Dont know about the marketplace in Infestation, but if ment like buying weapons and such with either real or ingame money. The answer is: No

DayZ aims for realism (but zombies arent real, yet ;p) and i don think there would be people selling guns just sround the corner.

No the market places does not sell guns, just ammo and armor stuff. They have a few vanity items as well.

Well there is not any kind of market in DayZ. You need to scavenge everything ;)

Please, forget everything you learned in ISS/WarZ. (I've been playing WarZ since it came out back in oct 2012...) HP have failed miserably. DayZ is a very different game in so many aspects...

I played ISS before discovering dayz. And even though it gets bad reviews everywhere i thinks its a good game. Although not a true survival game, due to the marketplace or as i call it money grabbing system. At this stage its more polished than dayz, and despite so many cheaters, i would definetly reccomend this game to people on this forum who want more guns and ammo.

Zombies are definetly harder in ISS, due to their 3 hit kill, plus there are so many of them unfortunately you will most likely die to due to server lag and not from being a bad fighter. I like the fact they react to sound as well as distance unlike in dayz. Atm moment i prefer dayz zombies because you can actually dodge their attacks, ISS as soon as zombie swipes at you even if u are behind it, you still get hit.

The only thing i really prefer about ISS is number of zombies and actual city sizes.

When dayz is completed it will be a much better game.

ISS is garbage. I played it when it first came out, and it was made for being a cash now, not a high quality game.

I really don’t like to post on any type of forums especially because when it comes to people providing insight to another game, it usually degenerates to flame wars but here is my 2c.

 

I have been an avid gamer my whole life and I have enjoyed both games and I do still play infestation. It looks like they have hired more people and things are getting better. Just the last few weeks, I am seeing them ban a hell of a lot of people for cheating.  I am seeing more and more people playing because of this and the game is fun to play. It is getting even better that I am willing to buy the game for a few friends that arnt already playing. It is only 3$ right now so meh.

Im finding server lag a big issue with ISS, you can run around but as soon as zombie approaches you it lags and when u get a second of lag in ISS it means certain death
