Irish. 4886 Posted March 24, 2014 ...in Dayz. I would also like to force others to get drunk via a handcuff forcefed-vodka combo. Please add Vodka as that would be most abundant I believe in the region.. also add Whiskey because that is what I really want. Thank you. So Sexy 259 Posted March 24, 2014 Vodka lol, coming from the mouth of an american it sounds a bit racist,no?Other than that, useless feature since it would serve no purpose in the game and would be a waste of resources, it could be used for medical purposes (like now) and molotov coctail. yorkmorgan 191 Posted March 24, 2014 Agreed. Getting blind drunk would be the first thing i'd do when faced with the horror of an zombie apocalypse, and seeing as the Russian word for water is pronounced voda, I imagine there would be a lot of vodka sloshing about it chernarus... And on a more serious note, it would actually add a lot to the medical system (its both a disinfectant and painkiller) and would lead us one step closer to the Molotov!

Irish. 4886 Posted March 24, 2014 (edited) Vodka lol, coming from the mouth of an american it sounds a bit racist,no? No, thinking that way is racist though. Other than that, useless feature since it would serve no purpose in the game and would be a waste of resources, it could be used for medical purposes (like now) and molotov coctail.I was waiting to hear that.. actually ingesting Vodka is a known medical practice to help induce vomiting. This would help save a player from poisoning and would come with the drawback of being "off" for a period of time with blurry vision. :) Thats just one actual in game purpose it could have.. weapon crafting - molotovdisinfecting itemsstart fire in rainadd to recipe to make vodka sauce pasta ;) Edited March 24, 2014 by lrish

At one thousand posts surely one would be aware of where specific topics go.--I do like this idea. Different drinks would have different effects? Edited March 24, 2014 by Inception. SGT. Kalme 106 Posted March 24, 2014 It would be interesting, at least. I would prefer beer though since I don't drink Vodka anymore. Bad memories.
srgntpepper 85 Posted March 24, 2014 (edited) 1.Internet has made me feel offended when someone uses word vodka in context with something slavonic eg Chernarus.-vodka is used everywhere around the world, in fact all major distilled liquors are used everywhere around the world (bourbon, whiskey, vodka, rum, tequila, although some are required to be made in certain regions). Your self entitlement to the talk of vodka seems strange to me.2.I thought my post included something about using alcohol for many purposes.-It did include many purposes, although you were saying getting drunk from it is a useless feature. I was just stating it could be used for both medical and recreational purposes, afterall, a persons morale is important in these situations Edited March 24, 2014 by srgnt.pepper

Highly doubt that.
Irish. 4886 Posted March 24, 2014 So lets say, if the game took place in a fictional US state, I created a topic, where I suggested becoming fat, from eating hamburgers, no american would get offended? Highly doubt that. That is not an equal analogy. At all. You would be inherently offensive from the start by going there, and actually are being more so than a mere mention of the relation of Vodka and Eastern European countries consumption of it. It should not offend you over the mention of a generalization. Its okay that it does, but it really should not. Its not racism we are talking about, or prejudice. Its just saying that Vodka is a typical generalization of a hard liquor representation in Eastern Europe. Budweiser would be a typical generalization of beer in America. Same analogy.. not alcohol vs fat people.

boneboys 7988 Posted March 24, 2014 Prefer wine myself, does that make me French ?Just mix the alcohol tincture with a freshly squeezed orange, then we could do away with the nonsensical racist assumptions.**************************************Not the first time this has been suggested but remains a valid proposition.Stay on Topic...

I may be wrong, but I'm assuming the poster suggested vodka first, even though he would rather see whiskey, because people keep complaining that the game feels too western

Yes, when I typed Europe, I meant the Union. Sorry for confusing. Last time Estonia was in second place and Czech first. I would like such things added into game, would be fun spending lonely nights sitting next to bonfire and taking a can of beer, having hangover in the morning. Fun as hell.
