Bullet proof vests

Recommended Posts

I am not talking about the press vest or anti stab vest, I am talking about a propor vest that can provide protection from rounds like 9mm and 45acp, etc.

These would be police vests, which I'm pretty sure the country would have

We could make these ballistic vest kind of things police station only?

..but let's also add Mv22's and about 9 million more assault rifles/sniper rifles. I'm looking at you, CrappingPoint.

a bullet proof vest is not bullet proven, because the energy from rifle bullets and pistol bullets and
even among rifle bullets can vary a lot.
just a matter of devition.

what nevada wants is a ballistic vest that can withstand projectiles on the level " III-A ".
advanced pistol rounds with effective blunt trauma protection.

Bullet proof vests protect against 45ACP and 9mm or below, not 556 or 7.62

Yes. I know a variant of bullet proof vests that can fend off 308 rounds from lapua rifles.

Although for the sake of balance. I would enjoy just a simple ballistic vest that defends against Bambi ACP or 9mm shots

Anti stab vests could be worn under the clothes, but not bullet proof vests, those things will make you look obese

-_-, level IIIA  stop pistol rounds, they ARE worn under clothig

at a certain level above that, which are called BALLISTIC VESTS, are NOT worn under clothing, and they can stop .308 Laupa or magnum rounds. Okay?

Some vests are designed to be wore concealed, others not.

There is much misinformation in this thread, you can find anything from level II to level IV that are designed to be worn over a shirt, and anything from level IIIA down designed to be concealed, it depends on the type of vest you buy. You can also buy soft and hard trauma plates of varying NIJ ratings and put them into empty vests or plate carriers, or on top of the soft armor in a pocket designed for them.
