Woodland Creature 9 Posted March 11, 2014 Someone must develop a 2nd person game now!!! Wait...isn't that octodad? No, that would be another 3rd person game, as viewed by someone not in the scene being viewed.
rickyriot 1009 Posted March 11, 2014 It's quite funny reading what people think is a second person view, however it's quite clear. In the literary sense it's the person being spoken to. For example the first person the addresser, the second person is the addressee while the third person is someone not involved in the dialogue but is a witness to it. Putting that into a computer game context. 1PP is what you would see from your eyes, 2PP would be the person (object) being shot, 3PP is someone watching the action. applejaxc 2500 Posted March 11, 2014 I didn't see your "edit" when I posted... The only thing you posted I saw when I got here was "Whoever said 2PP = 2D isn't a very bright chap.", the rest wasn't up yet. You both beat me to it. But at least OP got his answer. B) I wasn't serious! :) But if you ever deny me a victory again I will find you, and I will kill you, like Liam Neeson in that one movie...
applejaxc 2500 Posted March 11, 2014 Next you'll be telling me that Obama is a black man. 1: He's a lot more brown2: Hey, I'm just correcting someone for being wrong.
applejaxc 2500 Posted March 11, 2014 (edited) No worries, but now you have to try to explain how a game could use fourth person perspective. Go. I knew this day would come... You watch your character through the eyes of another character that's in a different video game.IE, you're playing DayZ, you find a Mario Donkey Kong arcade machine, and you have to control Mario using DK's camera. ...or would that be like 5 dimensions? St. Jimmy 1631 Posted March 11, 2014 Little offtopic: what does the PP mean in 1PP, 3PP etc? I can't understand where the second P comes. For example I can see only one P in 3rd person view
