Shovels are the best counter to bandits.

That moment when you come across a guy sniping in electro, and begin to bash his head in with a shovel only to have him turn around and take out a sawed off shotgun, miss, then take out a pistol, miss 5 shots, and then die. Looted his corpse to find two fnx45's and seven magazines with at least 90 ammo for them, an sks with a scope and 70 bullets for that, a sawed off shotgun, 2 ammo boxes full of various ammo, 2 small protector cases full of other stuff, 4 handcuffs, full camo clothing, tactical vest, and yeah. And i killed him...with a shovel.

 

 

To be fair though, all I was wearing was a kickass down jacket and he must have been captivated in all my glory.

Also to clarify, it's not that he was in the middle of sniping when I came upon him, he was in the process of reloading his SKS since he only had one 10 round clip on him.
