They're still in use around the world especially because, and this is one of the reasons why I would add it, you can make your own bullets for it (crafting etc!). Plus it's a rather powerful mid-range rifle that would be unique - having to load after each shot but rather accurate & a one-hit kill weapon*.

 

Also; AK47 or Cz58. One of the two. Probably the Cz58.

 

*During the Anglo-Zulu War one .45cal bullet from a Martini-Henry was observed passing through several Zulu's before being embedded in the shield of another one.

Also, I'd add the Baikal MP153, just because I'm tired of seeing all the Semi-Automatic shotguns in games being represented by some tacticool Benelli or something. We need a good old waterfowl/trap/skeet style sporting shotgun.

I'd make use of it as an odd spawn. I think they should throw some common irregular firearms into the game just for the sake of being more realistic. Sure, they may not be ideal, but sometimes that's what you'd find laying around a house.

They're made in Russia, and there's probably far more people that own a such a shotgun for sporting purposes than there are that own an M1014, A5, 1100, 11-87, or anything along those lines really.

 

I just really want to see another shotgun, IZH-43 is probably my favorite weapon in the game.

Definitely a blow dart gun with poison tipped darts.

 

 

EDIT:  I would add this to the game because your attacks would be silent and ammo could be crafted from materials found in nature.
