So Just like the mod the SA is now riddled with cheaters

I already noticed a few weird things but just tributed them to glitches.

But now i know for sure.

 

The SA already has plenty of cheaters.

 

I was at balota when i heard a lot of gun fire.

I was hoping to kill some bandit scum so i flanked where i thought the fire was coming from.

Hopping from bush to bush, tree to tree i finally saw a group of players.

 

2 fully geared guys on the ground and 1 no gear was teleporting around them.

Playing with them. i was a good 100 meter aways looking at them from third person so no way that any of them could see mee.

I stood still behind this fence for a good 5 minutes when  the teleporting guy executed the 2 other players.

Than from the middle of the field he just teleported away, within 10 seconds he was standing right behind me with his gun up and shot me.

 

you can tell me whatever bs you like but i now know with a fact this game has cheaters.

10 seconds googleing for it also proves anyone can download hacking software for it.

 

So this game is just like the mod over for me!

Don't give BS excuses its not PRE alpha, its well into alpha, and open alpha at that, if they already have security measures implemented, and cheaters are still noticeable, and there is no word on immediate work being done on said security, that gives the impression they think its doing its job, and its not.

Okay, I wasn't there but I'll give you my perspective on the case. 

 

One scenario is that they were hacking which sounds plausible given what you said. However, major server lag can cause cheating-like behavior such as glitching through walls, involuntary teleporting, and a disconnect between the client and the server (i.e what you see is different from what the server or other sees, which is also how teleporting occurs). So it's not impossible that they saw you run into bush.

 

Anyway, don't quit DayZ. There's a lot to explore. I can give you some survival tips if you want, just throw me a PM when you feel like it.

after 170 hours of playing I have yet to see one hacker. I also don't spend 75-100% of my time looking for fights. not saying the OP does but it seems the people who see hackers the most are the ones who hang around high action areas in populated servers and wonder why there's hackers there killing people.

I have almost 500 hours, I've seen 2 actual hackers so far... Well you'd assume they were hackers, it's more like super hopped up exploit junkies that aren't very good at the game. I use hacker loosely in this game because more than likely it's an exploit. Just like body duping, gun duping or wall glitching.. The only way to keep safe is stay low population and or stay out of electro.. I will say the vast majority of people play legitimately and sometimes people get upset because they aren't very good at the game. But since everyone here is the best, I maybe should have kept that to myself...

 

Lag and desync are two of the most common things that people assume are hacks, but, a ton of it can be debunked as unfortunate for you..

161 hours so far, haven't seen a single hacker even when going to high traffic areas, though a quick google search and look at the most popular hacking websites show that there are literally tons of ways to hack in the stand alone.

 

"Hurr durr it's desync" is the most common excuse i see when these threads pop up or "it's a glitch" or the rather annoying "it's alpha" yeah, no shit sherlock.

Fact is, there's still hackers, they're not running around nuking entire servers anymore because thankfully that's impossible for them now, but there's still the whole issue with ESP and tons of other shit, including teleporting(which to be frank, why the fuck is that option even in the code? we don't need it for anything so why the fuck is it in the code at all so they can access it?)

Ive seen a few Script Kiddies (anyone who buys a hack isnt a hacker there a kid with their moms paycheck) but mainly they go after large groups or clans. I had a hacker teleport into me and I shot him with a shotgun and he died just as easy. The teleport scripts are not perfect and most often then not hurt the individual that help them. as for the OP theres not that many SCript Kiddies to make a legitimate complaint. Lower population servers will haven them but some stay away from high population.

Nearly every time someone comes here after seeing a single hacker they are generally screaming "the game's riddled oh there's so many they are everywhere" I saw ONE, I've played 167ish hours and never seen one hacker. 

 

The way I look at it is this, this person paid $30 for the game, they paid $30 for the hack, they get banned and they need to pay another $30 to get another copy of the game, for what? so they can kill people, they are so bad at the game they can't play it properly themselves.  I understand your mad at losing your stuff but this is DayZ, also alpha. I've died to many glitches, I've done stupid things and gotten myself killed but as a rule I don't care, normally the instant I die, I take my hand's off the keyboard and mouse, lean back in my chair and say "fuck" then click respawn and start again.

The only people that are really affected by cheating are the ones doing the cheating.  Like said above: a cheater kills you, you yell “f*ck”, probably throw something, then start over.  Cheaters on the other hand, giggle while they kill people, then get all butthurt once they realize they just got banned and lost the ~$60 they spent on the game and “hack”.  Getting banned from cheating isn’t a matter of “if”, it’s a matter of “when”.

If you see a hacker, log the fuck out immediately and hope they don't find you during the 30s logout timer. Sitting there watching for 5 minutes is just daft and, well, asking for it. If you're going to watch, at least record it and note down the names of the players so that at least the devs have something to go on rather than some teddy/pram interfacing issues on the forum and zero evidence to boot.

Lag? mate i've played with aussies and new zealanders who desync less than these guys, heck they barely desync, it's not lag when a guy moves 100-300m in a second, if it was lag he'd be rubberbanding back and forth in place rather than forward.
