Post your PC specs, in game settings and FPS here

Recommended Posts

Not sure if there is already a thread made as the search function doesn't seem to show anything related to what I'm typing so I'd like to start a thread that people can post the PC specs, in game settings and the fps that they are getting so we can maybe help each other out.

If you need a program to show you're fps here is a link for one.  It's a video recording program but you don't have to use it for that. http://www.bandicam.com/ .  The full program does cost money as it will leave a watermark on the free version.  If anyone else has other programs please feel free to post the links as well.

My specs are as followed: P8Z77-V LE Plus MOBO / i7-3770k @ 4.4 ghz / 16gb G-Skill 1600Mhz / Gigabyte R9 270X 2gb(My sig shows CPU at 4.6, I just recently clocked it down) 1Tb 7200rpm HDD

In game settings

Video: Rendering Resolution @ 1920x1080 / VSync Enabled / Resolution

User Interface: Resolution @ 1920x1080

Textures: Video Memory - Auto / Texture Detail - Very High / Texture Filtering - Very High

Quality: Objects - Very High / Terrain - Very High / Clouds - High / Shadows - High

Rendering: AA - Normal / Alpha to Coverage - All Trees + Grass / Edge Smoothing - SMAA Normal / HDR Quality - Low / Ambient Occlusion - Enabled / PP - Normal

I get around 45-50 fps out in the open and drop down to around 30 fps in the larger cities.

Mods, delete this thread if this has already been discussed to death or there is already a topic on it.  Thanks.

Your CPU is definitely your bottle neck.  The RV engine is very CPU heavy.  Unfortunately you're not going to see much more increase even with optimization.  I've updated my post to show the system requirements for DayZ

Ya, I get approximately the same fps as you in the cities.  And both you and I are pretty much on par to what the FPS should be in the ALPHA until they do some optimization.

Intel i5-4670K CPU @ 3.40GHz, NVIDIA 760 GTX with 2GB Video memory, 8GB RAM, Motherboard is MSi Z87-GD65 (7845-001R), 1TB HDD, Windows 8 with 1080p monitor

50+ FPS not in cities, 20-25 FPS in cities. Everything, including Video memory being on "Auto", is maxed out except:

Vsync = Disabled (for higher framerate)

Edge Smoothing = FXAA High (for a more crisp picture)

Yes, I can potentially max out everything, but Vsync unnecessarily lowers my frame rate, and anything higher than FXAA makes the screen blurry which I don't like. Yes, Vsync prevents screen tearing, but I have a high framerate, so I don't notice it. On top of that, screen tearing never bothered me anyway.

i7-2600 CPU 3.40 GHz, 4 GB of RAM (I have to download some more), Win 7 x64, Geforce GTX 760

Game settings:

1080p Resolution

Vsync Enabled

Objects, terrain, and clouds are set to "Very High" with the exception of shadows which is set to "normal".

Anti-aliasing set to normal

Alpha to coverage: All trees + grass

Edge smoothing enabled

HDR quality low

post process quality disabled

Ambient occlusion disabled

All textures set to high with the video memory of 2048 MB.

I get 10-30 FPS on towns and cities no matter what I do. 45 to 60 on fields.

I am surprised you can even get the game to run on that as that is below the minimum requirements

My only suggestion that I can think of is possible adding more ram, at least get 8 gigs.  Others have stated that increasing CPU speed does nothing but I'll leave that at your discretion to overclock.  Also, try setting your video memory to auto.

Well, I previously had 8 GB of RAM but my big brother needed half of it for a computer that has a damaged GPU that my he and our father are trying to fix. (It's a powerful GPU)

You look like you're pretty much on par with the fps you should be getting.  It seems that some of us with decent systems get around the minimum 30 fps.  Is that in cities that you get those frame rates?

But seriously, all my settings are on very high using the computer in my signature. In cities I range from as low as 25 in combat to as high as 60 at times. Out in the open I have achieved as high as ~180 frames per second. It's generally around 70-120, though.

EDIT: Because edit.

Yeah, I too get about 30 FPS in cities and towns.

Core2Duo 3.0ghz

8gb RAM

MSI 550ti 1gb

120gb Vertex 4 SSD

Dayz is set to mostly high settings, with AA/PP disabled, and instead of 1080p I run it at 768p which is not noticeable visually but does get me 60-70fps instead of 20-30 fps, when I run it on same settings at 1080p. *I also run it on that res because I am fresh out of DVI cables and must use my HDMI cable bringing my native res down to 768p.

In major cities 20-30 fps, anywhere else 60-70fps with a -$400 PC. Im happy :D

I know not shit about Pc's but apparently I have:

AMD Phenom II Triple Core Processor 2.10 GHz

ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650

4 GB of Ram

I have everything on pretty much the lowest settings. I get less than 15-20fps in cities and probably like 25 when I'm not. Yipee!

MSI GT60 15in laptop

Quad core i7-3610QM @ 2.3GHz boost up to 3.3GHz

16gb DDR3

GTX 680m 4GB GDDR5

Samsung 830 SSD - 120GB (game loads twice as fast since I installed DayZ on my boot drive) :)

Texture/filtering = very high

Rendering - all disabled

Quality - all normal

resolution - 1080p

Launch parameters  -maxMem=14336 -maxVram=4096 -noPause -nosplash -cpuCount=4

plus I have my .cfg file tweaked as well.

For my cpu being so low I get pretty decent performance all around.

I get 35 to 40 in the forest and 20 to 30 in towns, while getting drops as low as 15 in bigger cities, but I average around 25 to 35 all around.

This is recently. I was getting 10fps lower all around before last patch.
