Clothing and Aesthetics.

Here's the suggestion - again I'm not sure if it's been talked about before, but if it has, good!

Clothes like hoodies, check shirts, ushankas, baseball caps, etc should all have options to do special things.

For example:

-Roll up the sleeves on hoodies and check shirts.

-Put up the earflaps on the Ushanka

-Turn the baseball cap backwards

-other clothing items to do other things

I'm sure this can be done pretty simply, and would add a ton more variety in clothing to the game without actually adding any new clothes.

Here's the second part:

When you put certain gear in your inventory, depending where it is, it should be seen on the character.

For example:

If you find a canteen and put it 'in' your jeans it should hang off your belt on the character model. Trust me, there's no way you can fit a military canteen in jean pockets. Same goes for the gas mask, put it in your pants and it'll hang by the straps on your belt.Things like pots and pans should hang from the back of your backpack if you put them in it. Maybe there could even be a section in the backpack inventory GUI exclusive for external storage.

I feel that adding these two suggestions could make the game feel more authentic and make you look cooler even. They could even add an effect to make the pots and pans on your back rattle around or something.

Anyways - here's the idea. If you have any more suggestions to add on to this, since I was extremely general and could have gone into every item in the game, feel free to.

Here's a picture I made of what I thought might be cool - notice the canteen and the gasmask. Of course he's also got a beard and all that, but that's been suggested a billion times before.

Oh and they also need to add drop-leg holsters, shemagh's, scarfs, more neck gear, leg gear like kneepads and mag pouches, and arm gear like fingerless gloves or something.

I like this idea...I was thinking this myself the other day but to expand on that - the large cooking pot. Combine the pot with the rope - the model changes to a pot with rope tied to the handle. This can then be attached to the outside of the backpack. Doing this then gives say, 2 extra separate storage slots..things could be stored inside it!

While I like your ideas, this is where you're wrong. Each variation is a new model that has to be made, textured and put in the game database. I'm sure we'll get variations, but it'll take time.

I was just about to make a thread for this idea, but i searched first.

It is a great idea, I would definitely think they need to be implemented, especially witht eh cooking system coming soon, pots take up too much space in the bag, and should be able to hang off the back, at the expense of stealth.

As for sleeves and ushanka flaps, I want it, very much

Me like it 2! They could add a belt to serve like a extra storage space where only some things can be put like the waterbottle or a holster or u could put ur compass on it. Maybe hang the pan from it etc.

yeah.. unfortunately you would have to implement a second model of the clothing only for this to work.

We had the same discussion before about hoods from jackets etc to be used.

T´was a sad day when i found out.

so that's basically turning a longsleeve to a mid-sleeve or something :D

i really like that idea. we could also have seperate models for each button  undone or done up. and also the collar up or down. and even the chest pockets.. open or closed.

well devs? hop on it. :P

Lol guys....it's not the greatest idea ever....

but it's viable,i don't see what all the big fuss is about.

I did my service at summer-time,let me inform you that we

had to fold our sleeves of our uniform during excercises, because the heat made us sweat buckets.

let us rip off sleeves of jackets/hoodies.

...and make rags out of them would be one badass idea.

(without of course destroying the rest of the garment)

Why 'run around in your boxers' when you can go commando sans trousers... Oh, wait... Can't do that... YET!
