gaweu 42 Posted February 24, 2014 The main reason why its easier to survive in DayZ SA is that there is no zombies spawning around You which means that people cant be aware of You around them and stuff. But in the other hand that is why there is also less action sometimes then in mod. Right now its easy to find people at coast. Electro, Berezino, Solnichniy or NEAF. Because that is around spawn points and 50% of people on server are there. But when You will go north on more to west then chance You will spot someone are really spall. Mostly on Hardcore servers. You can even run 10 yards from each other and any of You will even notice that. That would be cool if there would be IKEA trucks or some supply drops on map. So people would go to same place and there would be action in other places then coast.
ottovonlarnie 4 Posted February 24, 2014 I'm at 32 hours and still on my first play! :) Now I'm tooled up and surviving on my own it's easy, it is definitely much easier than the mod, but it was tough to get going at first. After getting to grips with the Food/Health/Water/Blood system thanks to MerinoDAYZ's vid's the game does get better, you spend less time gathering the meaningless stuff and simply travel from water pump to water pump when moving around, you have more time to travel and find trouble. My only thing so far is that even though I play on busy'ish servers I rarely discover proper action, I've had a good bit of fun at Lopatino getting caught up in a clan war type thing, but the map now seems more detailed and better balanced so it spreads people out more. I was absent for most of the Balota carnage early on.
ChimpyGlassman (DayZ) 51 Posted February 24, 2014 I don't think I have an average. Sometimes I can be alive for days, others a couple of hours. Depends on how stupid or desparate I am.
Sistinas1973 50 Posted February 24, 2014 Been around 12 non consecutive hrs with no human contact. This with having been to Electro and Cherno, as well as an airfield and military base. Have seen up to 15 people on the server I play on but haven't run across them yet. Might be about time to head back coast side. I'm stuffed to the gills on guns and ammo and will probably pass some on to a few fresh spawns.
doctorwhy 157 Posted February 24, 2014 Staying away from SW from Elektro Cherno Balota, a few days to a week and a half. Going down there for some action. a few deaths an hour.
tolan 11 Posted February 24, 2014 Haven't been killed in combat yet, have only been reset a couple of times, and died as a freshie due to starvation (i swear, every single place I hit had been looted beyond belief). Granted, I'm only about a month or two in. Since I've been on this character, I've been involved in a couple of shootings, and one firefight. Nearly died in the firefight. Practice careful movement, and teamwork whenever possible with some buds. Been alive for a couple of weeks now, probably 15, 20 hours.
