Slyguy65 499 Posted February 21, 2014 (edited) Now for the people who execute bambis...ya they are assholes but for people like me and others who agree with this. Shooting and or killing bambis is not a form of grief or being a dick its much more practical than that. I shoot at bambies to improve my accuracy. Ya i can shoot a geared guy camping no prob...but those guys running across a field...nope, so what better way to practice then at the moving target range (coast). Do i do this alot, no. Is it a valid way of learning how to shoot moving targets, yes. Better to camp the coast and kill freshies then camp an airfield to kill people who invested hours. Think about that. P.S Guns do different levels of damage between zombies and humans. Perfect example: When the SKS first came out I killed zombies in one hit im like SWEET ONE HIT GUN.Get into a fire fight I shoot a guy point blank two times he didn't die. Im like WTF, it was then I knew I would need to test guns to see how much damage they do to humans zombies were irrelevant.SKS takes 3-5 shots to down someone while the hunting rifle (blaze) takes two direct shots Now why would I go into fire fights not knowing the capabilities of my own equipment, only a fool does that. Lets not forget the most important fact of all...THISISALPHAThis period is meant to test and experiment, forcing yourself into a strict playstyle while ignoring other options is foolish since right now the game wants you to explore options and see what everything does. I made the topic not to justify playstyles but to point out the ridiculous notion that playstyles matter right now, the game is no where near complete and all the controversy between how others play is just not needed. Ya going out of your way to be a dick (knee capping people, which i made a rant post about) ya that is just wrong, but if you have a reason for doing things other than to just be a dick to people then I don't see the issue. Also making controversial posts is fun every now and again. Edited February 22, 2014 by Slyguy65
DarkwaveDomina 1099 Posted February 21, 2014 Why do you feel the need to justify it then?
Slyguy65 499 Posted February 21, 2014 Why do you feel the need to justify it then?im not trying to justify im trying to point out that not all people have malicious intent. zombies just dont cut it for sprinting target practice

dethsupport 110 Posted February 21, 2014 (edited) "Why are you killing new spawns on the coast? Why don't you kill geared people?" Because geared heroes go to where they can offer the most help - the coast Kill/harrass newspawns in high value areas along the coast to lure out the geared heroes and prepare for epic firefights. I usually don't KOS freshies, I harrass them creatively which still lures out heroes and gives the freshie a very memorable experience. Much better in my opinion - everybody wins. EDIT - Try not to be a dick and kill the same one over and over - thats just greifing. Edited February 21, 2014 by Dethsupport

blissfulkunt 196 Posted February 21, 2014 LOL. Shooting bambies for target practice... not my cup of tea. Why dont you shoot random objects in the distance and try out perfecting your zeroing instead? At least I would of thought OP would have a better explanation/excuse... What can I say though, Dean himself was killing anybody in that Euro stream. Anything goes, but I will still be a defender of Justice, even if the very people I think I'm saving, well kill me. LOL. dethsupport 110 Posted February 21, 2014 Gotta lure out those bambi loving heroes some way. I like the idea of playing copy cat with people. I press F2, you press F2, I press F6, you press F6 and so on. If you make it to 10 I give you my water bottle and some freshly open cans of food - if I happen to have a stick, burlap and rope I may give you a backpack. Don't make it to 10? I break your legs. If you bait them - they will come.

Better to camp the coast and kill freshies then camp an airfield to kill people who invested hours. Think about that.Bull. Better to kill people who haven't got anything and have just fresh spawned than kill people who actually have a chance at defending themselves? The only advantage killing bambi's gives you is they have no armour. Sounds like you're scared you'll miss the second shot at a fully geared player and get blasted in return. :P

Nicko2580 398 Posted February 21, 2014 I think he meant that killing a bambi is better because they have nothing to lose. I THINKI think that's what he wants us to think. I think he's really just scared he'll get shot if he heads up to the NWAF and tries out his 'target practice' on some real targets.
infiltrator 275 Posted February 21, 2014 I only kill freshies if I haven't killed anyone in hours and even then I typically just try to snipe them from 700+ meters, they have no protection so they are bad practice material anyway. However I enjoy killing fully geared guys, especially those who invested a lot of time in their characters.
Kellrush (DayZ) 53 Posted February 21, 2014 then hope you dont meet us bud. you see anyone with a tag {fsts} and your camping bambies 1 tag will turn to 7 and your going to be watched. and when we see you killing bambies your getting a 7.62 round through your eye socket then we will leave your corpse there for the bambies to gear off of. its a cowardly thing to do, if your going to be a prick go and pvp against people who can defend themselves. just because they havnt invested hours and hours into a character doesnt make it right. you could be setting them back big time. what if there running towards their group? what if they are trying to get back to their stuff in the hope they can make it, what if they were spawn so far back that they just run past you *pow* and then they end up spawning even further than what they originally had. and luring heros is a bad idea. "1 tag will turn to 7" a lot of heros travel in groups. and killing someone who is trying to help the gaming community is beyond toxic. if you want target practice take shots at zombies. and you want a moving target? get a buddy on, have them agro a zombie. then take shots at that. not some poor guy who might have just got the game "oh boy i heard so much about this game this is gonna be-*POW* oh im dead well lets try agai*POW*" we have all had momments like that. its not friendly, it ruins the game for people who have started out early. and makes the community that much more "KoS"ish i will not be surprised if i see a post from you about someone KoSing you and you bitching about how its not cool.your type is the reason why i run bambies to cherno and elekctro, to make their experience that much better. so they dont think EVERYONE just wants to kill themyour the type of person that makes some of us go full out bandit because they think the game is full of shit people.and in turn those people kill others and those people going bandit as well in turn thanks for being a dredge on the dayz gameplayi wish you the best of luck on surviving the heros, and hope you glitch through steps and break your legs
