Can we just think of a different name to call a 'fully geared guy'?

 

It pains me to read all the beautiful DayZ stories, and watch all the amazing and funny videos only to have the mood ruined, the immersion broken by

 

''and then, a fully geared guy came from behind..."

 

Perhaps something more menacing? Stalker? I know in the Metro 2033 series they call the "fully geared guys" Stalkers because it meant they had braved the surface of Moscow and had the equipment and the scars to prove. I know there's a game of the name Stalker, a lot of you play it i assume...

 

Endgames,

Hunters (opposite of Bambi),

Veteran,

Ranger?

 

Please post suggestions, i know some of you can come up with good names

Geared is the easy way to distinguish from a new spawn. Calling them stalkers or endgames sounds weirder to me than geared.

If fully geared means all the tactical stuff + M4 + ..., we could go along with something like soldier, SWATer, militant. Or if you'd prefer a catchy acronym, you could use something like MILBO (=military bozo / bod), MILSTO (= military stooge) and for the worst cases  MILDOU (=MILitary DOUchebag  :o  ).

Just kidding. it's actually the author's fault that the mood gets broken when he/she mentions "geared player". You're supposed to say something like "And then suddenly, in the blink of an eye, came a rather strange man. He looked like a soldier from the military, he was wearing a gas mask and tactical clothes. I hailed him for guidance, but without a second thought, he raised his gun and started to shoot his gun. I could feel how the bullets penetrated my body, but I had no reaction, it was a split second later that I would feel pain. The pain was horrifying and I couldn't hold in my screams. The strange man came by me, I could see his cold eyes behind the glass of his mask. He raised his gun again fired one last round...".

 

Not my best, but you guys can improve on that. Wow, can't believe I wrote that at 3:00 in the morning. Gotta go to sleep now.

Me and my two buds call them GRUNTS from the old military slang for an infantryman.  When one of us says we see a Grunt then we all know that they are in full military gear and are deadly.

Hmmm walking armouries ??? due to the large number of guns and ammo carried... I am one of those but do not require server hopping to achieve i dont use the m4 so every other gun can be gotten and stocked up for in the large number of towns across 225square km + map

I wait & pray for a weight+endurance+running speed system...especially when I see how a guy wears 2 rifles, an axe in his backpack and all other slots are filled with ammoboxes that should be 300 round but hold 600...
