an idea about steam level

it would be nice to have an option for server admins that allows only player with steam lev 10 or higher to join my server.

 

caus the most amount of hackers have only 1 game on their accounts, that means they have only level one and the archivement -one time buyer-.

 

i know not all one time buyers are hackers, no one will loose his acc with 50+ games on it....

 

 

that method will delete 30%-70% of hackers, on that servers with steam lev 10 +....

As I just stated, I have 4 years of Steam Account, got 70+ Games, never hacked and I'm still level 7, and I don't even know how this Level System would work.

Also, why not whitelist?

yeah but with my system they need more games ... steam lev 10 means 50+ games.... they need to buy 50 games to hack again in one of them

My son has over 5,000 hours on Garry's Mod, though.

its only an option, and that option can have steps like 1,2,3,4,5-10.... it will has servers with steam lev 0 and servers with steam level 10+

I have about 100 games and over 10 years. I am level 13. I am only level 13 because I got in a silly trading card competition with some clanmates last year.

 

This borders on one of the dumbest ideas yet presented in these forums towards solving a problem that can really never be solved.

i've been a steam user since its inception, and my steam level is only like 5.

 

This is a horrible idea, due to the fact a steam level does not reflect the competence or maturity of a player/individual. Sorry.

Its an interesting idea and I see exactly where OP is coming from.

 

But it is unworkable in the real world IMHO.

 

OPs idea does have some merit so rather than just stomp all over him why not try to flesh together an idea that would work?

 

I know bashing is easy and thinking takes work, but if ts a good idea who knows what could happen?
