So lately and not so lately people started realizing that 2-3 fists to the face knocks someone out no matter what he is wearing. The result? fresh spawns are the new zombies, try to walk fully geared from Berezino to Electro and you are going to have fresh spawns jumping at you with fists from every single angle. It's simple enough when 1-2 freshies attack you, pull out your M4 or magnum and they are gone but when its 5-6 jumping at you, its slightly more difficult.. never go around spawn locations without a decent melee weapon!

wearing a fully enclosed helmet like a bike helmet should eliminate that problem. hopefully they'll fix this, because someone being able to knock you out while you're wearing a freaking motorcycle helmet is absolutely retarded

only time i have ever been knocked out by a bambi is when I was flanked in the jail while trying to countersnipe a dude in NEAF. Didn't kill me, just stole my gun, waited for me to regain consciousness, then ran off lol. Apparently we killed him earlier, he ran back, knocked me out, took my gun (which was out of ammo at this point) and just trotted back to his buddy.

 

Post patch, it is easier then ever to drop a fist-wielding bambi.

It is far more interesting meeting people who are geared up. A bambi has nothing to lose, he'll punch you in the face 5 times out of ten if you are geared and try to be friendly. Nothing interesting about that.

True. Players avoid bambis almost completely, or smite them, mainly because of people like Johnny Depth who run around bambi'd and just attack fully geared players.

 

But it's not completely people like him. Also the bambi's who say "omg friendly can I come with you?" and then do a 180 while you're doing lord knows what and steal your stuff/knock you out/murder you/lead you into a trap
