This is the true behind 3pp users, this and look around corner jedi powers. I don't get it, outside of the game you carry a 2 meter tall mirror with yourself wherever you go to check how you look?

That's a horrible idea.  If you play in normal servers, expect people to be sitting around a corner in 3PP waiting for you.  If you want to "SOLVE" the 3PP issues, play hardcore.  It's simple, omg.  Did we really need another thread on this bullshit topic?

i cant believe that there is still a discussion about this :D

 

we have hardcore servers with 1pp only, so you cant look over fences or arround corners, in the future maybe even more harsh rules and affects who knows.

 

then we have regular servers where you can choose what view you want to have... why would you force 3pp only?

i like it running arround with a friends, gives it a kind of movie feel, but when im looting house or have to fight 1pp is so much better.

 

why not just let anyone play as they want on regular servers?

 

after they have introduced hardcore mode i really cant understand that this whole thing is still a problem...

Er... HC hive is locked. Regular gives you the option. Nothing wrong with it.

 

The more interesting way to change 3PP would be to make it linked to 1PP FoV, so that camera angle closes when in 3PP and opens when in 1PP ( FoV stays the same, camera moves back and forth, angle closes )

How does removing the choice of 1pp to a player on a regular server make it fair ??? it gimps the game any 3pp player knows there are things that need to be done in 1pp.

 

Where is the fair part ??? its fair now in relation to 1pp players.... I am a 1pp/hardcore server player its fair to me i get what i want and what the 3pp players do or dont do with there view has exactly 0 impact on me playing in a 1pp only server....

 

Also glad to see that hardcore servers are on the rise rather than fading away i believe Rockets plan ( pure speculation) of giving the 1pp servers such a hyped name has drawn a few 3pp players over and once they see it some SOME decide to stay.. Having no trouble getting a high pop 1pp server..

Simple...remove people/zombies/loot that cannot be seen in first person, while in third person. Someone already suggested this, and I'm going to hope the mods considered that thread. It's the perfect solution; it removes the exploit part of the view without removing the view. No more seeing around corners, no more issue. Easy!  :thumbsup:  :thumbsup:

I don't get why this thread has so many comments. What a silly idea. How are you supposed to shoot someone on a 3pp only server??? Guesstimate where your cross hair is? Most of us know the 3PP cross hair doesn't represent where your bullets are actually going to land.

It's amazing to me how many people can have an elitist attitude about gaming.

 

I mean, it's cute when Rocket talks like that because he's a big kid in an adult body, but when dozens of fans start circle-jerking about how hardcore the game is, and how if you don't play it a certain way, you just don't understand the spirit of DayZ, it reaches the point of absurdity and shame.

 

And even Rocket pointed out that 3PP is in the game because real life field-of-view doesn't correspond well to 1st person view on computer screens. Maybe you like to play the game in FISHVISION, with a high FOV, but I can see how some people would just rather have 3rd-person view. Punishing yourself or making your game look like crap isn't "hardcore," but real-life is. Go do some of that if you want to be hardcore.
