Has anyone accidently shot their friend?

Well basically i was playing with 4 players, me included and we were in a building when suddenly we all left without any indication, one of us had dramatically changed clothes to which i shouted "player!", he then turned around and opened fire clipping him in the shoulder 2 times, yet he didn't die or go on concious, infact, his vision remained fine, although his clothes had been ruined, i wonder if his clothes had give him protection

Yes i shot a friend of mine but i didn't killed him, i realised in time that he was my friend, also this friend killed our friends 3 times by mistake because he was in a panic state and just gone berserk ahahahah that was so funny, i risked to die by his hand too  <_< 

From that day now we always say to each other how is our outfit !!

Not in Standalone and not a friend, but I shot and wounded a guy who ran across the map to help me with my broken legs, back when I was a serious noob in the Mod.

 

I was prone in a barn trying to drive off respawning zombies with my ol dinner gong Lee Enfleld. I was  waiting on this guy who I'd contacted over Global chat and was getting nervous as I was running out of ammo to keep the respwaning Z's at bay.

 

Anyhow I's just shot this Z and out pops another horrible looking one and I opened fire only to discover I'd shot this hero/medic who was dressed in a ghillie suit, (first time I'd ever seen one), who had come to save me.

 

The tragedy/Farce? I broke his legs with the shot and he had to use his only Morphine injector on himself and thus I was doomed. We decided for him to shoot me in the head and end it.

One time my buddy and I went into Berezino since my character got reset and I needed gear again. We see a guy with a Mosin running around and start to approach him when my buddy just goes ape shit and shoots him, probably since we were usually on the receiving end and wanted to change it for once. The guy is screaming we can have the gun and I walk into the street where there's another guy with a shotgun. My buddy is in one of those apartment workshop areas and just starts opening fire on everyone, including me, and doesn't realize it until I was dead. To make matters worse I was wearing an orange raincoat :P Oh well, spawned right there and went and got my stuff back.

I had it happen once when we 4 were being sniped on we hunkerd down when suddenly iI see someone run across. I told everyone not to move to see if it was one of us. The character kept moving so i shot and killed him. It turned out to be one of our own who was having a bit of lagand was still moving. I felt pretty dumb.

I have one.... Fairly new to the game and my buddy (whom I know personally outside the game) asked me to check his pulse. Mind you I've never checked a pulse before. I click my center mouse wheel, scroll over check pulse, and left click..... M4 to the back of the head. I felt so bad and we were far inland. He was immediately dead. All his stuff was ruined and then the server restarted so we couldn't save any of his equip; I felt so bad.

I've never shot one of my friends (disregarding accidental axe-maulings), but when rolling in a group of three, we found one of those hacked unlimited clips, one of my friends decided to try it out by shooting at a wall, my other friend rounded the corner and the first friend, instead of looking over to him, just turned towards him, never ceased firing, and not only killed him but ruined every single item in his inventory. His excuse was "I thought he was a zombie." needless to say we ditched that magazine straight away xD

Well, my "friend", who had been traveling with me for about 3 hours "accidentally" hit me with a shovel...so my finger "accidentally" slipped onto the trigger of my Magnum and I "accidentally" blew his brains out.

Oh, and then I "accidentally" stole his canned spaghetti, canteen and 7.62x39mm ammunition...

It's inevitable in larger groups unless you've got super good communication.  We shoot each other fairly often.

 

I find that for the most part, the clothing so far in the SA isn't actually terribly distinct past certain distances, and even though people might be wearing entirely different types of clothes, their silhouettes can end up looking mighty similar, leading to confusion.

Yes, but it was complicated and funny.

 

He was lost.. we were trying to meet up. It was growing darker by the minute. We were both having some communication issues, and the server was rather unpopulated. I see a player looting the warehouses at Svetlo. He looks like a friendly fellow, and I see a Zed that he will probably run into if he keeps his current course. So I dial in the scope, and wait. He gets close to the Zed, and I am relishing the moment to be a random angel sniper saving lives while scaring the hell out of people all in one fell swoop. So its a rather long shot. I have an M4. Roughly 375m. The dispersion puts my shot in his arm rather than the Zombies head. He runs off like a madman, and eventually we both figure out we have finally found each other by default. 

 

The guy I shot on accident was my friend, Vex. ;)

I always like to keep my groups small, like 4 to 5 max.

 

Cuts down a lot on the confusion of who is who, and lessens the amount of friendly fire.

 

With that said yeah I have shot and killed many of my "friends" because I generally just get tired of asking who is who, and where they are, so I just blast whomever it is I am looking at after the third time of asking and getting no response...

I got shot once. Lesson learned, always communicate when you change position in the middle of firefight.

 

Killed my friend twice. Don't feel guilty about it at all. Both times I asked very clearly on TS if it's him and got no response.

I did many moons ago. A sniper took him out in the woods somewhere so I took cover right behind my friend's corpse. Then I see a man stand in front of me. I fire my magnum and my friend dies. I had killed my friend that I am quite certain recovered from shock. The sniper was killed by my magnum a moment later.

 

I randomly meet another friend on a road. He came at me with a crowbar, I axed him to death. I can't remember if he knew it was me or not when he decided to attack. He had earlier said he would kill me if he saw me.
