Honestly, After a conversation on a post I created once I am simply for makeshift weapons that can be crafted from salvage alongside weapons that can be stripped of parts, But if I ever wanted A gun to be added it would be a O/U shotgun

You can take the ones from AKM. AK101 is the AK74M.

 

So I would kind of liked to see a regular AK74 but we are getting the '74M. I wonder if we'll be able to integrate the wooden stock and handguard onto it.

 

Actually, according to a now removed forum post of the (as of yet unreleased) dev blog from October 13, they decided to make the AK-74 a wooden one, and keep the AK-101 as a separate gun with the polymer furniture.

They've also discussed making the AUG modular, as they discussed - it'll start out as a carbine with the built-in optic, but it's possible that you can convert it into an HBAR variant with RIS for other optics.

 

But yeah, you can just put wooden furniture on the AK101 for now.

Who knows, maybe for variety, or just to prevent any drastic changes from happening to the already existing rifle. (They did say for now, so they may get rid of it at some point)

 

I'm not saying it was at all necessary, but I believe in the end the decision to make the AK-74 spawn with wooden parts and keeping the AK-101 as a "party piece" weapon will probably be better than just having the AK-74M.

for craftable weapons i think if you have a hammer, nails and a bat you could make... a nail bat that just ads damage for the weapon and people get cut up during melee fights. makes it alittle closer to the axes while fighting zombies

I finally have some time off today and i will go back through the pages to see the suggestions people agreed upon.

 

If anyone can help me do this, please post the suggestions that seem to have gained a lot of attention.

winchester 1895 with the box magazine uposed to their normal tube mag designes.. i thought it would fit in the game pretty good considering russia bought over a quarter million back in the day. looks almost like a lever action mosin. winchester 1895 was chamberd in a couple different calibers includeing 7.62x54R

Nope, definitely not fake.

 

Like most weapons in DayZ, this was a weapon taken from ArmA 2: Operation Arrowhead, although this only spawns on custom mods, not on the "official" version. It's a gold .45 ACP Taurus Tracker 455, used by Col. Aziz, leader of the Takistani military at the time of Operation Arrowhead. The regular variant appeared in the official mod.

 

Personally I see no reason to add it, but the Taurus Tracker would be a cool .45 ACP revolver (we don't have one yet) and it could be a homage to the mod, and possibly A2, if they incorporated a gold version.

You'd still far sooner see a Gold AK than you would any other kind of weapon.

^{i noticed the approval rating of the SVD dragunov is pretty high. thought maybe i would suggest also adding as kind of a more rare version kinda like the 1911 has the engraved version. maybe add in the SVU version of the dragunov also. just saw a picture of it thought it looked pretty sweet figured i would throw it out there.}

guess the SVU comes with a muzzle break and silencer so it might wait until they start testing silencers ha sorry.
