z11ab 4 Posted February 9, 2014 (edited) I've seen/found the SKS, shotgun, mosin, and the double barrel hunting rifle, in the small office (school) 3rd floor (also spawns m4s) and on the roof, in one the brown barns, the large office building, and the building with the piano in it. I KOed the zombie and when I look down to punch him more there we are, a SKS right under him, 8 ammo. I was like what the fuck. Most likely I would've missed it, hadn't it been for the zed. Second one was in the piano house. Third was in the military base under Kabanino, a bit west. I came out of the barracks with it and entered the jail. Some guy was camping there with an M4. SpiraxSarco 23 Posted February 9, 2014 Come to Balota airfield, i got one for you, and is got a bullet with your name ;)Lol, jk...like almost everyone said, most probably on military bases you will find one, just one thingh i think no one mention, the weapon only can take 2 attachments, PU scope and Bayonet, i was hoping for a long range scope but...until now that's not possible. Dkmode (DayZ) 16 Posted February 10, 2014 Everywhere yea. That seems to be the only gun i am finding. played for 6 hours yesterday, i didnt find a different gun. In fact, i was beginning to believe the mosin and long range scope had been removed. Every spot i hit where id seen a mosin spawn + a long range scope had an sks and a PU scope. im probably wrong in believing they were removed, but the SKS is pretty much everywhere. Rissou 42 Posted February 10, 2014 (edited) me and a buddy found 2 at the same time on the same server in balota airfield. One in a hangar, the other in an ATC tower. the harder part is finding the ammo for it, i've only ever found one 20pack of the bullets.Bullets are found in residential areas, like in zelenogorsk, elektro and cherno, they are in any building basically, look through them all. hombrecz 832 Posted February 12, 2014 I'm finding the SKS all over the place. Too often if you ask me. On one server this morning I found 4 in a single town. Ammo does not seem that uber common though, or maybe I was just unlucky.Anyway to get SKS I'd go to office/school top floor small room and the piano house.
