As such to reflect its rare status it should be good,it should be equipable as a primary weapon and should not be a silly slash movement that is as slow as a fireaxe but should be a very quick stabbing weapon which is primarily used for stealth. I don't want a lumbering great axe on my back, I want a small knife that I only use in stealth. In addition, a pipe wrench or a crowbar shouldn't be bad weapons, the pipe wrench should be slow and have a limited range but should be a 2 hit kill whilst the crowbar should be quicker but a 3 hit kill. -Gews- 7443 Posted February 5, 2014 Who... has there own opinion on the subject. Yep. The Combat Knife is based on the Glock Feldmesser FM 81. It would be most useful as a stabbing weapon. However I disagree that it should be good just because it's rare. A kitchen knife could be an equally effective stabbing weapon. A lot of people sometimes forget that, because they are seen as mundane objects... but they have guards for stabbing, very large, pointy and wide blades, etc. With knives of this size and weight, damage for slashing should depend mostly on how sharp the knife is, and that would help with stabbing too. As such to reflect its rare status it should be good, The "strength" (in that case: potential damage) of an item should have nothing to do with its "rareness" in the loot table (but rare as a result of "get more looted by players - yes). A combat knife should be rare (outside military buildings/tents etc.) because only a few people had one. A Crowbar or a pipewrench should not be rare in the same case, because they can be found in nearly every house. And all army-combat knives are stabbing weapons - at least that's what i've been told in the army ;) Edit. People use it for chopping wood, slashing though bushes, etc. Has any-1 seen "The Book of Eli"? Well, depends on the machete... most basic working machetes are "dull as" from the factory, it's expected that you sharpen them yourselves, brands like Tramontina, Imacasa, Martindale, Ontario, all dull.
