35-50 fps on my system and hardcore lags!?anyone have same issue´s

Recommended Posts

Well that could well be the source of your problems then. I'd definitely recommend an SSD, if not then a SATA 3 HDD for DayZ.

Change Shadows from Very low / low to Normal. seems to be a bug, but HUGE performance increase.

should i get ssd ???

Sorry for multi posts but yes a ssd is definately a plus it will remove alot of the pop ups etc that the game produces and it may even be causing your stutter if your hard drive is not all that healthy as it loads alot constantly off hard drive. ( i have dayz loaded into my ram as i havee 24 gig and have made a ram disk just for dayz..

30 - 50 fps is playable for DayZ :)

I wouldn't invest in anything expensive for an fps boost if you don't really think you need it. I get about the same framerate, but I don't feel the need to get an SSD, I'd rather save the money for other games (or rent lol). Does the frame rate actually cause problems for your experience playing? If it doesn't then you're probably just being hung up on a number that doesn't actually mean anything for you.

Shadow play you use a gtx card so shadowplay is your best bet it doesnt eat your frames as it is made for the gtx 600 and beyond series cards......( i dont lose a single fps using shadow play )

Think you'll find it's GTX 660 onwards as per mine :)

hi all

i run a intel core i3

8gb ram

nvidia gtx 650 1gb gddr5

win 7

i get from 35-50 fps and harcore lags like some frames dont even show!!??!!

The dual core processor is your problem.

The very least, I'd suggest an I5 series, aka quad core processor.

By the sounds of things his overall performance is fine, it's just stuttering that is most likely caused by his drive that's the issue.

Actually I find it funny that you're douche enough to come into threads with people asking about performance issues and just say "I get 200 fps" Real constructive douchery. Grats.

I remember something about have all low settings dosent help fps in the take on helicopters engine, sometimes lowers it even more.

I'm pretty sure it's like low graphics forces it to run off of your processor , and a setting higher higher will use the graphics card.

I'm rocking a I3 4330 and a gtx 650 ti and I never go under 30fps in cities. Which is fine for me.

Check postprocessing, that's a fps killer I hear. See if that helps.

What's the percent load of the processor/graphics card in-

I tried it before with the rig i have in my signature, i get about 30-40 fps in the cities on "ultra" settings, everything on max and lowering them doesn't appear to change fps at all

My system is crap!

i5 running @ 3.8GHz
GPU - had to stick an old one in: HD 5870

Steam installed onto a 500gb drive, BUT - DayZ running from my SSD.

My fps max's out at 60 (locked?) when outside of towns/countryside.
Towns it drops to around 30/40. No stuttering, nothing. I believe it's the SSD that is probably saving me, though - that should only affect load times, right?

I'm calling bullshit. You don't get 200 frames per second with maximum settings.

@OP: An SSD won't really make a difference with anything else except load times. When I initially installed the game, I put it on my 2TB RAID0 (2x1TB WD Caviar Black HDDs). The game took a bit longer to load, but ran fine when it got going. The only improvement re-installing DayZ on a 240GB OCZ Vertex 3 yielded was an decrease in load times. I'm willing to put money on the fact that it's your processor, if it's anything hardware related. I am running an i7-2600K @ 5.2GHz and I notice a significant difference when it's overclocked from 3.4GHz to 5.2GHz. The game runs a lot smoother at maximum settings.

Really? Post-process and ambient occlusion cost about 10 FPS each for me. How odd... :S

Same here. I can run the game on Very Low or Very High and I get the same lag that sort of feels like I'm running through water when I'm near certain cities.

Because it's nonsense. Post a screenshot with proof or stop trolling.

Now, back on topic. If anyone would like to impart their advice with regards to combatting stuttering on the OP then feel free. Otherwise, move along people.
