There are no bandit skins.

So calling somebody a "bandit" is BS.

Unless you've recorded a "bandit" doing bandit activities - and that's open to interpretation - just say

"I killed a player."

Too many time I even see vids where guys kill a player who has done absolutely nothing except be in the wrong place at the wrong time.

But thats where everyone is. If you want to counter-snipe thats a good place to go. The alternative is to sit for hours somewhere with lower populations praying to witness a killing that you can somehow positively identify wasn't self-defense. As someone who does this the majority of the time I can tell you this is not very fun for long.

There isn't really a doubt that anyone sitting in one spot overlooking a town from known sniping spots isn't a bandit.

When humanity is at the brink of extinction, then I honestly doubt property ownership matters even more. You're not stealing if the guy you're taking the items from is already a zombie you know. A bandit is quite simply somebody that steals items from the living, not the dead.

He/she was struggling to cope with the post-apocalyptic world before you came by and killed the poor basterd in cold blood.

I agree that it is distinctively hard to truly identify a "Bandit" from say a person with zero intent on killing anything that moves, besides zombies.

But the intent is there if you witness someone going onto "Sniper hill" in Elektro or ontop of the School/Fire station buildings, I mean why else go up there, I am probably wrong, but my "Bandit-O-9000" radar triggers when I see people in those area's especially when they have a Mosin+LR Scope.

But in all fairness I do the same thing, but I am more of an observer with my Mosin+LR Scope, I very rarely fire at someone, unless I have observed that person just going around shooting freshies/bambies, then I take action.

 

But I agree, making a video or posting on the forums saying you killed a "Bandit" doesn't mean the person you killed was one, without some sort of visual proof, like that person killing freshies/bambies just because he/she can, then to me, you just killed another survivor trying to make his/her way through a popular area in the game.

If I am overlooking a town with my long-range scope it's probably because I am scouting it, checking to see if doors are shut and zombies are present, so that I know no players are around and I might actually get some good loot.

What if that camper is just an overwatch? Maybe he is scouting the area where his mates are looting? At this stage in the game 90%+ are bandits..

With almost everyone in the game KOSing, everyone is a bandit.

 

There's no real way to be a hero without being a bullet / axe sponge.

 

So people are correct when they say "killed the bandit".

 

Maybe if they had a humanity system that actually worked, you could differentiate kills.

lol sorry this is one thing i do KOS for straight out if your sniping down on a major fresh spawn city then i am not going to wait to find out what ya sniping ( if its a far north little town ill give ya the benfit of the doubt as i scope small towns to see if the zeds are still there) lucky for you i am so seldom down that way( unless i am fresh and even then i generally dont go to electro lol )
